But how much do we think the families of HM's have helped or hindered their cause this year? I really can't remember Mum's being so prolific as they have this year.

I wonder if it might be a bit unkind to comment on how anyone's parent looks? I have seen several posts now where Jay's mother has been criticised for pushing the mutton button and as for Louise's mother wearing a woolly hat - it was cold and therefore she was dressed appropriately imo. At least the parents turned up to show support. If I was judging on looks I would say that Jay's mother has had a somewhat hard life and I thought that Louise's mother looked very kind and earnest. But that's just looks...none of us really know enough about them. They did not enter this competition their children did and it might be quite possible that both of them have been a little embarrassed at some of the actions their offsprings have taken - in front of the nation on TV. In view of that maybe they were both very brave to be there...

I think kin and kith have really had an impact. Heaven's friend riled the crowd when the vote was close and probably put people off voting. Aaron's brother is quite hot :thumbs::thumbs2: and Jay's mum just comes across as a desperate pushy 'showbiz mum' / momanager type. Even if Jay wasn't a sexist, aggressive twerp but likeable she alone would have put me off anyway.
