Obviously Aaron won for being complex, but some of his behaviour was dubious. So I am wondering if he looked like a gargoyle, would he have won?

everything on the outside dose not matter < its on the inside that counts < its such ashame its so boreing in aarons body because that is what we got on the outside as well, and it has been a disaster darling.

That made him more interesting. Rather that than conversations about 'favourite tooth' or 'tin foil song'

Aaron wasn't aggresive, never threatened to kick someone's head in and acted fairly decently. He didn't talk about women as conquests or boast about the things he would do to them ( too revolting to print here ). If he was the worst looking male in there the result still would have been the same. Looks don't last.

I doubt it.The only other housemate I can think of that Aaron was like in the house(minus the relationship) was blind mickey..he was as ugly as a melted wellie and he never won, instead the cute fence sitter won....

I don't think Aaron's like any previous HM. Blind Mikey was way more outspoken and brash than Aaron.

The 'isnt he fit, teenage vote' would have gone to Jay, not Aaron.
Obviously I can only speak for myself, but looks dont matter at all in a BB housemate. I couldnt stand Dale and he was IMO one of the best looking guys to have ever been in that house. On the same note, I loved Marcus who was far from an oil painting, and to a lesser extent Harry this year.

no it was nothing to do with looks...

Yeah I think he would have been.
I honestly think Marcus from Big Brother 10 would have won if that series was vote to save and he's by no means attractive.
He certainly would have beaten Siavash if it was vote to save and his fanbase was expanding as the series went on so I reckon he could have beaten Sophie in the final.
It's a different game when it's vote to save. Those controversial characters like Aaron get a chance. They have lots of people that dislike and lots of people that like him but the reason they excel is because the people that don't like the controversial characters are split between about 4 other housemates when it comes to the final.
So to answer your question, yes. Although, if he was ugly he probably wouldn't have got with Faye and or Maisy. Which I think is a big factor to him winning because it was from there on that the show revolved around him.

Maybe Charm was more effective than his looks.

He'd have still won...
I didn't vote for him because I fantasized about him being in my bed, I voted because he was interesting.

I would never not like a housemate because of the way they look, and I think the majority of BB fans feel the same. It really is tiresome hearing the same old speech of it's always the women that vote out attractive women because of jealousy, it's absolute nonsense. Yes there will always be the cause he's/she's fit vote:laugh: but they're in a minority.

i actually prefer his brother, David
Aaron looked really different when he entered the house than how he left.

Yes. He's not "good looking" to me. Then again I'm male and 16.

Aaron was nothing like Mikey... Mikey was more offensive and a bit creepy (pervy) tbh
As for this thread, I would just like to say to ask the OP how you feel about your boasts of Aaron coming 3rd and Alex winning? Seems you were proven utterly wrong. A week ago you had blind hatred and disdain for Aaron now you say his actions were a bit 'dubious' talk about back tracking!!
Aaron won cause he was the most interesting, decent, complex and normal person in there. Not a total bore, or a generic ditzy wannabee model, or a pantomime villain (etc) but a slightly odd bloke with a fantastic turn of phrase.
Best BB winner since Brian or Nadia IMHO looks or otherwise.

He wasn't complex, he was rude, bad tempered, bad mannered, sarcastic and selfish; that's about as "complex" as he got.
He won because of double standards. And that's why the other bloke got as far as he did whereas the 2 ladies left were voted out.

Yes I think he still would have. I know there are shallow people who vote on looks alone but they are a minority I would say. A good housemate is a good housemate regardless of looks.

You are absolutely right. If he looked like Mickey and sulked like Aaron he would have been out in the second week.
So people should be more honest and give the real reason why they voted for a 30 year old man whose behaviour was worse than a six year old.

Big brother wasn't the same this year and it hurt the show. Voting to save instead of evict, no live feed, constant recaps on the daily shows, housemates names constantly pooping up on screen in the 2nd half of the series still, allowing them to talk about nominations. These things all hurt the show IMHO.

People will say yes, or that its totally irrelevant, but with his antics, of course he wouldnt.
Its a sad fact but him being good-looking made him 'cute' or 'the boss'.

Being a straight married man, I can assure you his looks had no effect on me. He was just a more interesting person than the other 1 dimensional nobodies.

Well that's like asking would Sophie have had won if she had been ugly.
I didn't find Aaron attractive at all, not my type so his looks had no effect on my judgement.
