Totally. Aaron didn't win because of looks. I think he won because he is generally a nice person (albeit a bit petulant/moody at times), doesn't excessively swear and has decent morals.

People like Aaron, Harry, Freddie Fisher and Jon Tickle are a credit to the country, as they show us that there are still decent people there. They make us viewers from across the pond think that maybe Great Britain could still be great and it isn't actually just full of a bunch of foul mouthed louts.

I guess the reactions could depend on your location though, as here (in Canada) we value more traditional views and like the old image of England rather than the more recent thug culture image; so that could be why everyone I know liked either Aaron or Harry.
