I was at the after party on friday night, all the housemates were there but nothing realy exciting happened. Aaron turned up really later than the others but me and my friend spoke to faye for ages, she was lovely and said that she still loves aaron etc, and that her mum likes aaron now!
A lot of them had a few drinks but they were all so nice and willing to speak to us
feel free to ask anything
faye said jem was ok about it too but didnt say why jem wasnt there, im not sure why her mum changed her opinion, but faye did say that aaron wasnt like what we saw on the television, i agreed with her that until you've met him you don't know etc and big brother can manipulate what happens although she wasnt saying thats what they'd done. I'm guessing she just had time to speak to her mum and let her see her side of the story since she'd been out!
I didnt get to see jay's bum hole but when i went into the toilet louise was in there with the door open, i think she was quite drunk! it was very funny then i asked for a picture we took one and asked me to send it to her email address!
They seemed to be mingling, aden anton and co were all together, heaven and tashie were following eachother around faye was with maisy, louise and jay seemed to be with all their families alex and tom seemed to be talking to everyone too!
The bit on the side crew all hung around together with brian + pete burns too

This type of tweet is purely designed to raise Lauren Harries profile and keep her in the public eye in her quest to get on CBB...hanging on to the coat tails of anyone who has a public profile at the moment...at a guess Aaron wouldnt have gone near the woman or her mate Pete at the wrap party so she has had to make do with the next best thing...

How ironic that in a thread to do with discrimination you choose to use, quite unnecessarily, a fairly offensive and discriminatory term towards transgenders.
I'm against what Lauren is claiming, but is there any need really?

Good point
No matter whether Harry is homeophobic or not...he is still a two faced back stabbing sod!!...And he was rather quick to rule out the humorous fully-clothed posing for a gay mag task....so there may be a 'no smoke without fire' element to Laurens story...? :suspect:
Either way....it seems that Lauren can only expect a week at most in the house, judging by the way that this forum have already condemmed her for being 'different'!....Which is a shame because I think that she is quirky enough to be a great and interesting housemate!!

Wrong..... she has not been condemned for being "different", its more about her personality, I could get over her bitchy comments and self promotion, if she had a warm and funny personality, but she has neither traits in my opinion. Shes about as funny as a wet ham sandwich. Not sure if you saw her response when asked by Emma what she would bring to the house...she replied " outfits, I would change outfits at least 5 times a day", now given her penchant for wearing black (a) Im not sure we would notice she had changed and (b) thats not bringing anything to the house except a large suitcase imo.

Lauren seems to me like a lot of gay/ transgender (LGBT) folk who will dismiss anyone who dares not to like them as being homophobic/ transgenderphobic etc.
PS Not wanting to pose in a gay mag does not make you homophobic any more than a woman (eg BB9 winner Rachel Rice) who refuse to pose for straight lad mags. Besides a straight man is 100% entitled to not want to encourage gay men fancying him.

Shes not gay shes a transexual.
First of all not everyone believes in transgender for various reasons eg religion/ culture/ science. That you can't actually change your assigned birth gender any more than you can change your race, so to a lot of people the likes of Lauren Harries is just a bitchy gay man who's had a vagina installed.
When I meet transgendered people I will always treat them in the way they want to be treated, so if I met Lauren I'd regard her to her face as being a woman. But in private I will see her as a bloke, but never let this be known to her out of respect for what she wants. To be honest I used to believe in transgenderism, and supported it now I am cynical and think people just change gender as they can't hack being in their birth gender. What I think in private is up to me and I refuse to tow the PC-line, but again I would never let on to a transgendered person as they should never be made to feel uncomfortable. An effeminate man deciding he would make a better woman as he's never going to live up to the ideal of the macho man. Rather than changing gender, I would rather society accepted that some men are effeminate and some women are butch. There's a who spectrum of people. You don't have to be a woman to be feminine and not all women are feminine anyway.
For me now gender isn't something you can actively participate in changing - it's given to you when you are born (unless you are inter-sexual). If you can change your gender then you can change your race and ethnicity! And there is growing number of transgender people who are changing back to their birth gender 'oh I am bored of being a female now, I now want to be a bloke again'

http://deaconjohnspace.wordpress.com/2010/11/09/moonbattery-transsexual-changes-back-denounces-sex-change-operations/
Why don't we have men who want to become butch women? Why are all male to female transgenders wanting to be frilly, girly and feminine? I grew up pa girl who liked playing football and playing with action men, but it didn't make me want to be a boy. Why aren't there men who want to be tomboys as tomboys are still female. I am actually insulted when transgendered women say 'I always wanted to be a girl as I liked playing with dolls and wearing pink' Erm, I didn't.
And even those that do accept transgenderism/ transsexualism etc see it as part of the LGBT spectrum even though most male - to - female transgender women will be women who fancy men ie straight women.

Thats not what transgender is. Being transgender is something you are, not what you choose to do. Being transgender means that they NEED to change thier body and not just live as an effimenate man that is just absurd! as to put it bluntly they want a vag not a penis.

Harry made it clear when they showed the VT's in the house, that one of the reasons he'd never do the Gay Mag pose was because he would not have a business left if he did.
His business life would be affected and that's a fair enough and reasonable comment: after all, he's not responsible for other people's opinions as far as his businesses are concerned.

I agree with you, you can't change your gender. If "she" takes a DNA test, "she" will show up as a man.
A black person can bleach their skin to make it appear white. That still doesn't change their race. Was Michael Jackson a white man after he bleached his skin? Of course not.

Surely if anything Harry would have been transphobic, rather than homophobic?? Or does Lauren still consider herself a bloke?? :conf:

How ironic that in a thread to do with discrimination you choose to use, quite unnecessarily, a fairly offensive and discriminatory term towards transgenders.
I'm against what Lauren is claiming, but is there any need really?
very good point.Theres's no need for that sort of thing on these forums..

Calling Aaron Shaaron for a laugh because of his feminate charactaristics is hardly as offensive as what you are calling lauren..You need to get a grip of what you post.A lot of people find that sort of thing really offensive.

A lot of people would take offense to their behaviour being termed as 'mincing about'.....

Shes not gay shes a transexual.
Well surely she must see herself as gay...if shes accusing harry of being homophobic towards her, no?
Unless she means just pete...but then my post just changes to 'Disliking a highly irritating gay person makes someone homophobic? Who would have thought it? :o :o'

You might want to look up that dictionary again.....;)
I did not say it was vulgar. I said some could take it as offensive.

Ouch, the thing is, she has no right to call him Homophobic, she doesn't know him well enough.
Yes he was on TV, but she doesn't know him well at all.

Was there any need for you to use the term 'sheman', especially in a thread to do with discrimination?

What I find offensive is Lauren making up **** about somebody just to get herself noticed.

I'd say that was pretty accurate, all things considered.
Not any different to posters referring to Aaron as Sharron..... yet I didn't see you ever find fault with that during the course?

Do you not understand that by saying that & refering to Aaron as 'Sharron' (as you are basically insinuating that he is gay) is offensive & could be construed as homophobic?
So it does seem rather ironic that you slate others for making transphobic comments...

So on the grounds that something seems 'accurate' it makes it perfectly acceptable for someone to use derogatory terms towards transgenders? How ignorant.
As for this 'Sharron' thing, I haven't seen anything to do with this, so I can't exactly comment. But no, I don't agree with that either. However there is no correlation between a comment made in jest regarding Aaron's name, which I assume it is, and a discriminatory term used in a serious context regarding transgenders.
