Well considering that Jay played the "pull at the heart strings" move when in the house and said he would give the money to his Mum - I'd say quite a lot. I always assumed the way he talked that his Mum was single and had brought him up by herself and was struggling to survive and therefore him winning the money and handing it to her would be helping her pay off debts and stop stressing about money!

Believing this was clearly a mistake by me!

Why would he need to hand money over to his Mum if she and her husband are directors of a company that's clearly doing pretty well and bringing in plenty of cash?

But it's extremely irritating when people are following Jay's actions outside of the house like stalkers and scrutinising every tiny thing he does. And it's also annoying when people try and deny his obvious contribution to BB12. I'd have thought, being an Aaron fan because he offered the most to the show, that other fans would've shared the same viewpoint and so as such also recognised Jay's importance to the series.

At the end of the day any housemate that makes any significant contribution to a series should not be vilified, and those who do not, i.e Steve BB11, Rachel Rice, Alex should be. You'd have thought it would be common sense really. It just annoys me.

From the sounds of things his mum started with nothing and worked hard and ended up being successful, plus his mum having money doesn't mean he has, he is in his late twenties he is a bit old to be living off his mum. This Jay's mummy threads is a pile of crap tbh. If she was born into a rich and wealthy family and pretty much well off immedietely I undersand. However it seems like she worked and grafted incredibly hard in order to become a succesfull businesswoman and look after her boy and family. I find that rumour unlikely, Newcastle is a good 4/5 hours drive away, Jay was up for eviction 5 times (including the final), are they really going to be bussing huge numbers of people down, at huge cost and time, week in week out just so they can stand there and cheer when the phone numbers are read out?

I agree with another post on here too. Why is this woman being attacked for being a (seemingly) successful business woman?! Why does her having money mean jay has too?? She's not with his natural dad, for whatever reason, so maybe he feels she's due it for raising him?!

My mum and dad (gawd rest their souls) were really rich and had porsche, range rover, jags etc but all I got out it was my education. I had no financial backing from them and my first house was a council house!!
