View Full Version : WTF?

There is something seriously fxxked up about what's going on.
Nikki: She is obssessed by how rank and scummy she is. The moment anyone doesn't worship her she seems to cry "it's because I'm so common". No love, it's because you're a seedy pile of wank, with a grotesque face.
Grace: Posh, my arse. Mum's called 'Alison', Stepdad's called 'Les' (the most pervy, yucky men's name in the book) No one who's posh has a step-dad called Les. Plus, genuine Sloane-rangers are born in London, they don't move there purely out of financial acquisitiveness.
Susie: Again, posh my arse. Her accent frequently slips. She is 'stage school' posh, which isn't the same thing. She's a fraud with a silicone albatross slung across her chest.
The only genuinely posh person in the house was George (and even he was upper-middle class rather than upper class).
Let's get things straight around here, OK?

Why can't you be posh and scummy?
coltranes
15-06-2006, 01:10 PM
You can certainly be posh and scummy. But Nikki isn't. In America, she'd have no teeth and be on Jerry Springer bleating about the twelve babies she'd had by her own father.
Re: the moat and the castle. When will people get the fact that poshness isn't indicated by wealth. If that were the case then Julie Goodyear and Vicky Beckham would be posh. It's something that can't be acquired. Like artistic talent.

Wake me up the day Rooney is doing something genuinely brilliant. Like vaccinating a small village, composing an exhilirating piece of music, painting a picture, or writing a poem. Kicking an effing ball around and being jingoistic is not something to be proud of; it's something backward and primitive.

The most deluded thing about football supporters is that, after a victory, they'll say something like "We won!" And you think to yourself, "er... no, you didn't. The team that played the game won. You weren' t on the pitch you deluded freak." It's like if someone went to a Madonna concert and came home saying "God I was brilliant on stage tonight. I did three encores!" Football fans are deluded beyond belief. They think they're the ones playing. They say things like, "We did well tonight." Er, no, you didn't. You're not in the football team, you idiot.

Not really.... because the teams are playing for the fans. If it wern't for the fans there would be nothing.
When we say 'We Won".. we don't say it for ourselves we say it for our team because technically it is our team.
Stop being so obnoxious and except people think different then you.

We can certainly get back on topic. Nouveux Riche freaks = Grace and Suzie. Charmless Pond-Life = Nikki. Psuedo-intellectual (but not actually remotely intelligent): Richard.

Anyway, I agree that poshness is something that is acquired. Has Nikki ever claimed to be posh in a serious light though?

"Stop being so obnoxious and except people think different then you. "
Er...I think you mean "accept" people think "differently". Never mind. I'll have to give you an English remedial lesson another time. If football fans were quite as noble as you imagine them to be, I think they wouldn't knock the **** out of one another. After all, do you hear the same allegations made of any other fans? Have you ever opened a newspaper to read, "Figure-skating fans knock seven shades of **** out of each other," or "Wimbledon fans kill one another" or "Riot at the Royal Opera House as Aida lovers take knives to one another". This kind of gross behaviour is exclusive to football fans, Robert Mugabi, Hitler, and the police. What great company to be in.

"Has Nikki ever claimed to be posh in a serious light though? "
Nikki has never done anything in a serious light. She's a growth-challenged urchin whose greatest achievement is to have shown her baps in public. Sad.

As a New Yorker previously living in London, I have to tell you that I think the only place Jerry Springer is actually watched is in the UK.
Nikki is going to be the same no matter where she lives - however, I can definitely see Ash losing her teeth and dropping some babies Britney-style.
And you're right, you can't just become posh. That's one of the reasons I hate Susie so much. She tries to float around dropping words like "umbrage" instead of "offense" and patting people on the head like a schoolteacher, but she's obviously a dim floozy who married money.
