I prefer ripping the **** out of it and voting for the bizarre acts. most of the serious music is pop crap
I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that Simon Cowell said he was interested in being involved in Eurovision next year :suspect: I'll look for the link
Must have been Josy with the typo

We are sending Andrew Stone next year, I've decided.
Some people may find the idea hideous, but Simon Cowell wants to take charge of our Eurovision entry, claiming he could do a much better job.
It's safe to say we never do that well in Eurovision, but Mr X Factor Simon Cowell thinks he's the man to turn our fortunes round, and has hinted that he is actually in the process of making that happen.
He said: "I think the BBC should have asked me for once to sort out the song.
"It wouldn't have been Engelbert Humperdinck, let's just say that.
"If I was asked, I'd do it properly.
"It will happen but I'm not going to give too much away."
X Factor winners generally come out with slushy songs, so maybe he wants to go down that road.
The trouble is, Eurovision is a different kettle of fish than our own charts, so he may find it harder to be as hugely successful with it as he thinks...

Tbh he'd probably have a better idea at what would do well than the BBC

Johnny Robinson 2013! !!
OMG. Yes :worship:
Although Dezzy would give us a dead cert top 10 placing tbf
King Gizzard
26-05-2012, 11:09 PM
Because it's **** if it's taken seriously
Nearly as bad as having to sit through the uk top 40
It's not it's amazing :nono:
Although would probably find the results less disappointing
The results are more interesting if we actually have somebody good, we can still send a serious entry and just have Graeme taking the piss out of it
Marsh.

Have my eyes gone funny or have you spelt it exactly the same both times?

I think you mean Graham unless you're suggesting we get Sticks involved.

I can still remember waking up on the sofa (Must have been about 5) to my mother telling me that we'd won and that daft woman singing "Love Shine a Light". lol.
A very vivid memory.

It was so innuendo 'would you like some nuts' 'blow into the mouth-piece' 'would you like something to suck on'
Just brilliance. A ****e song won that year as well, Ukraine and UK should have been top II.
A s***e song...again from Serbia

I liked most of the songs really, I like the quirkey songs that get into Eurovision, the only ones I really didn't like at all were, Albania, Serbia, FYR Macedonia, Bosnia and Turkey.
Norway was good I think too.

ukraine.....:joker:
I think if Engelbert Humperdinck was dressed as a gopher rapping about plum jam we would've made top 5. We should've gimmicked him up a bit.

I feel so sorry for ol' Hump!
Love the winner's song though, also really liked Albania in an odd way and thought Spain's entry was phenomenal!
My heart will always be with the Russian Grannies though on this one!
Kizzy
27-05-2012, 12:03 AM
:) i win....... hehehe
We would have won if we had a different singer singing a different song...
It was rubbish....There were some great singers tonight...
But just think about it...people loved the Russian grannies because they were singing "party for everybody", imagine if The Hump was singing plum jam for everybody, we would've run away with it

I wanted to strangle the Albanian woman with the stupid rope her hair was woven into. She looked like Adele had forgotten to take the coathanger from her dress.
Sweden is one of my favourite countries so i'll settle for that

It wouldn't have worked as we have always been free to party.......The Russian grannies have not......It makes it quite poignant.

I really thought she was chronic, the song was awful and she looked pretty awful too.
I liked the Graham Norton comment when he said what her favourite food dish was and that it appeared she had come with it on her head'.

 I asked my dad about this and he said it's something to do with Greece having a province called Macedonia too, and that there would be uproar if FYR Macedonia shortened its name to just Macednia.

I thought Sweden deserved to win, although I preferred Cyprus and Russia's songs...
UK finish 2nd bottom, oh dear. Ireland finish in the second half of the table but got a decent placing and shocked they didn't give the UK 12 points, 4 was better than nothing:p.
Don't be silly, we never give ye 12 points :pipe:
Your song was ****e anyway tbf
