Is Brian Dowling really that bad?

Just re-watched a bit of BB12, Brian is not even that bad, I mean there are some minor things that could improve but lets put it this way; I've seen worse! *cough x factor usa *cough*

I like Brian, I don't think he is bad at all. He does divide opinion but really I never even think of Davina now as to BB series,so bad was she in her last 2 to 3 series,especially eviction interviews.
I am happy with Brian as the presenter.

Yeah ive seen the camel toe first hand at an eviction.

He does have his good moments but hes just not great. I want a new presenter but i think Channel 5 wouldnt want the media to see it as a failure if they had to change him.

On this one, you and I seem in a firm minority as to him Niamh, I think he does well, I far prefer his eviction interviews to the last 2 series of Davina's.

I think all presenters have their cringy moments,Brian, to me anyway, seems very well suited to BB.

I cut him slack at the start of the last BB/CBB.... but as the shows progressed: he became a caricature of himself, and half the time - looked like a stage prop.

Terrible banter, predictable, tired jokes and puns that were far from funny, too much make up that made him look like a panto dame half the time, and in dire need of a good personal shopper.

I've always like Brian, thought initially he would take time to settle in - but as time went on - he actually began to put me off.

In your opinion. In their own opinion they do as they've signed up for a further 2 years. It brings them in good ratings so far as they are concerned and brings in extra viewers for their other shows too. They won't change it whilst they perceive it as a success.

How do you (or CH5 for that matter) know it brings them in good ratings.

CH5 have nothing to gauge / compare on previous figures for BB showing on their Channel as far as Brian Dowling hosting is concerned - or indeed, the show itself.

I was talking about the show as a whole in response to the previous poster saying that C5 don't know what they're doing. Its a reasonable assumption that BB brings them in good ratings owing to the fact that they have re-commissioned it for another 2 years. It's a strange idea that C5 don't know whether the ratings for BB are good or not.
