I cannot believe that Frank Foster got Villain of the Year:bored:. I thought Silas the serial killer from Hollyoaks was better and he was more evil than Frank IMO!

I heard EE won best soap! Well done EE. Corrie didn't have an amazing year last year, hopefully this will make them think of better stories, gonna be a turbulant year with the set move though

It's annoying.

If Hollyoaks had similar viewing figures to the other big three I'm convinced it would beat many of the categories.

Hollyoaks never gets the accolades it deserves, was the same with Brookside when that was running. EE and Corrie always get the most media coverage too.

Don't get me wrong I liked Frank but I thought he was a bit pantomime. Silas and even Yusef were more chilling.

Oh well. I am over it now and well done to the winners!

Silas did sound like the better villain, as a Corrie fan even I admit HO deserved it more

Some Corrie fans always complain about EE winning and younger viewers etc when they don't even bother to vote, quite petty really.

I agree, but I think every soap has those fans when they dont win

I am thrilled about Alison King and Lorna Fitzgerald winning awards, they are both so underrated and it is good to see them getting recognition:).

I'm pleased for King's award and also really happy with Becky's exit story and that episode, it was legendary and far more enjoyable than getting killed off.

This will sound me being bias towards Hollyoaks, but I thought Rae's exit deserved Best Exit award for the way Silas brutally murdered her in the late night episodes.

Kat Kelly is a really good Actress and I couldn't stand Becky in the end, so am neutral on her win. Surprised that Pat's didn't get it?

Surprised that Pat's didn't get it?

That's why I was pleased Becky won. I do get bored with exits that result in death.

Rae's death was brilliant because it was gruesome and a pretty much kept secret. With Pat we all knew what was coming and we've seen it so many times in the past.

Same. Corrie needs to be more a bit more modern e.g. showing their young characters on social networks like what Hollyoaks and EastEnders does sometimes.

I meant in regards to the new set, and the life sized houses and roads lol. I do agree though, though I'm glad that when people play games in Corrie, they're actually playing modern games like Uncharted, rather than the corny Space Invader sound effects they used in 2004-2009

Oh right, that is fair enough in terms of scenery and I know they are proud of the old traditions etc, but times change and you have to adapt to a new era.

I agree, but not sure where else they could put modern technology in the show lol
