Big Brother's got a new sponsor this summer (as revealed on the background of the official Twitter page (http://twitter.com/bbuk)) - Schwarzkopf will be using it to promote their Live Color XXL hair dyes

Bit tacky having a hair dye as a sponser?? Could they not find anything better?

I don't know anything about hair products, but Schwarzkopf looks classier than the usual sponsors Big Brother attracts.

Details:

The deal has said to be worth £2 Million and will last through Big Brother, Celebrity Big Brother and will also include Big Brother’s Bit On The Side.

The deal, negotiated by MEC, will see branding for Schwarzkopf’s Live Color XXL hair-dye products appear on idents and all marketing around the Big Brother formats. The idents will be created by Signal TV. Channel 5, Schwarzkopf and Endemol, will run a competition offering a viewer and 11 friends the chance to win “the Big Brother experience”, including house voiceovers, challenges and rewards.

I've been using their hair dye since last Summer, omg. :amazed:

This is great. The Plusnet ones were silly and annoying, that fat bastard wasn't even funny. The Freederm ones from BB12 were horrible to watch and repetitive.

Freederm in BB11 though.

But yes, this is good.

£2million is a substantial increase on the previous two sponsors and like people are saying here it's a lot classier than the cheapy plusnet ads so although it'll make no difference to the series itself it just gives a classier tone... people won't look at them and think 'oh.. is this was Big Brother can attract these days...'

It's for both series though. How much did they get for CBB8 and BB12? Wasn't that about the same?

I liked them, just they got a little irritating because there wasn't enough variety.

They are one of the better haircare product manufacturers out there and not exactly the cheapest either. ;)

This. But they've changed their ingredients or something, because ever since I dyed mine again it's been a ******ing nightmare. :suspect: But you're right about them not exactly being cheap.

OMG If they put the Big Brother Eye on their products.

The new 'Live' hair dyes are incredibly strong - I tried one of the blonde ones last year - because I use their shampoos and conditioners and it WAS far too strong - went back to my usual brands.

The other hair care products - I find anyway - brilliant, especially for dry/damaged/dyed hair - give it a real healthy shiny sheen to it. (christ, I sound like an advert here!).

They have the money for live feed, they just think they should spend it on Social Media.
..even though having a Facebook and Twitter account is ******ing free.

Not if it's the sponsor competition:
Channel 5, Schwarzkopf and Endemol, the producer, will run a competition offering a viewer and 11 friends the chance to win "the Big Brother experience", including house voiceovers, challenges and rewards.
