Now The US X Factor Panel is confirmed X Factor UK needs a big name judge. Alesha dixon or Danni won't do. But the thing is can ITV afford it.

No Katy or Marina! also they really should think about replacing Louis by now.

15-05-2012, 01:06 PM
They should bring Simon back and dump Louis, and I'd like to see Kelly Rowlands replacement be a high-profile female who will get the viewers really excited about the show.
Somebody like Beyonce would be incredible but it takes away the UK feel to the show.
I mean Tom Jones would be pretty good but the voice have him :(

I think Katy Perry would be amazing! She's brilliant!
Yeah but I dunno... I like UK mentors you know? I'm not being racist or rude to anybody else but its the X Factor UK isn't it so why not get our own talent to help mentor.
I like Gary as a judge and Tulisa at a push. I think Cheryl would have more standing now that she's become a bigger artist. But the links of Tom Jones or Adele would be outstanding
(I laugh because Adele would never do it she's so big)

She's in the same status she was when she left X Factor. Only just released her first single since leaving the show, so how do you calculate she's become a "bigger artist" in her absence?
Smithy
15-05-2012, 01:39 PM
Cheryl's only really seen as more famous because her famous footballer husband cheated on her and Simon ditched her from XF US, not really something to be proud of

Well from when she started the X Factor in like season 5.

And she's still about as famous and as known as Girls Aloud was. Not much difference IMO.

I don't see the big deal about Lilly Allen, she isn't that good, and I doubt she'd be as fiery as people would hope.
Katy Perry? She was a decent guest judge but can't see her being up to much full time, I agree with keeping it to UK mentors, they've got more passion about the show.
I personally think get rid of Louis and replace him with Shane from Westlife, he can do the groups.
Get Simon back, he knew what he was doing (most of the time)
Tom Jones for the overs
and Cheryl/Adele/Marina/a sugababe or somebody else from girls aloud for the girls.
They should just pre-set the categories with the judges.
And she's still about as famous and as known as Girls Aloud was. Not much difference IMO.
It's a good thing we're on a forum then, where we can discuss our own personal opinions

Sir Tom is a legend but the Voice has shown him to be crap at live shows
I don't think his song choices are THAT bad, but like I said if he's for the overs then he might have some good advice for them. That or pick Rod Stewart :joker: what a legend he is.

Not really his song choices I just don't think he's very good live, like Lucas said he's really awkward and seems to find it hard to articulate himself

I wouldn't say she's the least successful, she's done quite well for herself. She has the best personality out of all five of them as well.

i guess... if you consider *******ing eddie murphy succesful...
i'd take victoria over Mel B any day.
Let's be real, Victoria is the most successful at life, and Geri is the most succesful at music...
the other 3 are kinda non-entities. emma does so many shows she has no brand left, she's already sold it all away, Mel B is slowly catching up to emma in being a sell out, and Mel C, well, she may have her dignity, but she doesn't have a career.

No, it just needs axed.
I'm fed up with them relying on the judges and the scandals behind them, I don't care. It's about the talent, and that's dead now too - it needs to ****** off already.

I joked about it once before but they've left it so late now that they may as well opt for Pete Burns.
Just imagine him on a live show. Imagine the comments. I think the show would be on a three hour delay.

Mel B in terms of music is the least successful, your right. However I think that could be because it's pretty non- exsistant.
I just feel that she has a good personality to make it a bit more interesting and exciting, just my opinion. She's wasted by being put on the Australian version.

I agree, The US XF have done an amazing job getting Britney Spears to join the panel, she is a HUGE star and nobody can deny that.
Danni Minogue is apparently the 'fan favourite' to return (jesus knows why, most boring person on the panel) but she just doesn't have the star power.

A job on the X Factor would make her career even better.
I think it's safe to say that if you're an active popstar and you land a role on the X Factor judging panel, you're guaranteed success through exposure. Particularly the female judges, who become style icons and get a lot of attention. I think the issue with Kelly Rowland is that her personality is too brash and American in nature. She's not like Katy Perry or Nicole Scherzinger who understand the British mindset (possibly because of their British boyfriends.) I think Tulisa's a great judge, I'm glad she's returning, but I hope whoever replaces Kelly has a personality to write home about. Adele would be fantastic but she wouldn't fit in with that glamour aspect of things. I'd hate to see Lily Allen do it and she wouldn't agree to it either I don't think. We don't need another nobody taking up the job, we need someone who's had a substantial career who's not really doing the whole music thing anymore. That's why Dannii Minogue was great for the job.

I don't think it was that case at all. At least in Nicole's case, it was being very much like an LA airhead, nothing quite interesting to say and wanting to please everyone. Everything's awesome and she loves everyone with a soft, almost child-like tone to the voice. She was the same on US X Factor. I expect Britney will be much the same.
