Its been CONFIRMED that she will be joining the panel in Liverpool, and apparently its her 'trial run' and if everything goes ok, she will remain the permanent judge.

here is a video of her stint on the panel in 2010

Poor decision to go for guest judges, poor decision choosing her as one of them, and it'll be an even poorer decision if she becomes a full-time judge.

Would be the biggest anti-climax ever. Nothing against the woman but seriously, the US get Britney and we'd get Geri Halliwell? Just no.

If she actually does become Kelly's permanent replacement then Simon has lost his mind.

Awful decision- it's hardly a replacement for Kelly- Geri is not exciting, boring, not fit, and not exciting whatsoever- ew ew ew poor decision Simon to go for a Z lister.

She was awful in 2010 and I'm sure she will be this time around, too. Do not want her as a permanent judge.

Well during today's first auditions she climbed out of her car on arrival through the window onto the roof where she apparently started shouting through a megaphone, said that 'not everyone in Take That can sing', and was booed by the audience when she entered the auditorium.

If today really was a 'trial run', then I think it's safe to say she's got the job.

If people were booing her then why would they give her the job? They don't need a controversial judge.

They don't need a controversial judge.

I really disagree with that.

Controversy is exactly what this show thrives on and has done every year, the producers and Simon like any bit of controversy they can get. If they think Geri will divide opinion, get people talking, and she's happy to take it (as apparently she is), then I'm pretty confident they'll settle with her.

Don't get me wrong, I'd still not be over the moon with the decision, in fact I'd still be quite annoyed, as there's definitely better people they could've chosen, but at least she may not be as dull as we all remembered her to be.

This quote is ironic as the Spice Girls were formed to get rid of the likes of Take That.

I see what you mean but I don't really think the show needs any more bad press and having a controversial judge who the audience are not warming to will guarantee that. I think this big entrance she made today could potentially backfire on her getting the permanent position. Also, for America to get Britney and Demi Lovato, both of whom are huge stars in their own right and we're given a C-Lister like Geri Halliwell doesn't seem right. I know FOX have more money to spend on the judging panel than ITV do but I believe if ITV wanted a big name judge they could get one, they'd just rather be cheapskates.

I thought Kelly was awful anyway,I am no fan of Geri either though, however with time running out it is clear the show is desperate.
