He doesn't have the character or maturity to spend it wisely. It might seem like a lot of money, but in reality it is not that much. Certainly not enough to buy a house in a nice area. His wish-list is frankly ridiculous. Would be very easy for somebody like Conor to blow all of it in less than 12 months and have nothing to show for it. I would strongly suggest that he get some financial advice from a professional.

That's £25k alone! You can buy a decent first house for under £50k in Derry. I know what I'd rather have.

He made a big thing about Luke S having a house, and him living with his ma... so you would have thought the wise chose would be a nice fat deposit on a house...blow 10K if you must but 40K is a pretty decent deposit in an area like Derry.... I didnt realise he was with his GF for just six months, I thought the way he went on about her he had been with her for years, but then I remembered what he said in his VT and Luke reminding him he had been single when he applied....
