Seven-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong faces being stripped of his titles after revealing that he will not contest charges from the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA).
By refusing to defend himself, Armstrong has essentially conceded that he won his Tour titles through doping. That effectively destroys his legacy as one of the greatest cyclists in history and taints his story that inspired millions of fans - returning to glory after recovering from stage three testicular cancer.
The American said in a statement that he is 'finished with this nonsense' and insisted he is innocent but did not want to spend any further effort clearing his name.

Good on Lance, he's been dealing with this witch hunt for years now. Everyone knows what he's accomplished, he doesn't need to prove anything to anyone. enough is enough. the USADA can eff off.

If he contested it it would go to tribunal and there are 10 former team mates waiting to give evidence against him, it would all come out.

Love how his PR team have made up this myth that he's never failed a drugs test when he actually has back in the 90's

Oh please. hmm, a bunch of people that have failed drug tests and now want to point the finger at Lance? Pathetic. jealousy 100%

I'm not saying that i think Lance is 100% clean, i;'m just saying that they were perfectly happy to be doped themselves, and all of the people Lance was competing against have also been proving to be drug cheats, so the entire cycling sport is full of drug cheats, the fact is, he still won.

He was competeing against other drug cheats and he still won.

We should be talking about what's wrong with CYCLING as a SPORT, not what's wrong with Lance. They are just looking for a scapegoat, when infact it's the SPORT of CYCLING that should be condemned, not Lance Armstrong.
