Surprised noone has talked about this yet..

SPECULATION is growing that TV crews will be moving into Keynsham next week to film a dramatic car crash stunt for EastEnders.

It is understood the town will be the backdrop for a dramatic storyline for the hit soap opera

Parts of Temple Street and Rock Road will be closed overnight from Monday to Friday for the filming at The Centre, which is awaiting demolition in preparation for the £34-million town redevelopment.

Diversions will be in place between 6pm and 6am.

The BBC has not confirmed which programme the scenes are being filmed for, but sources have said that it is for an episode of EastEnders and there has also been speculation on social networking site Twitter.

The action is believed to involve a car losing control and crashing into the front of the old Peacocks store, causing a fireball. Keynsham fire station will respond to any emergencies during the filming.

Jenni Wagstaffe, film commissioner at the Bath and North East Somerset Council-run film office, confirmed the roads would be closed next week while a BBC programme was being shot in Keynsham.

She said they were working closely with the BBC press office and would be able to say more about what show it was later in the week.

Albert Square wild child Lauren Branning is no stranger to drama, but her latest antic will have EastEnders viewers gripped.

The misbehaving teenager, played by 19-year-old Jacqueline Jossa, steals her sinister uncle's car and takes her cousin Joey for a spin before losing control and smashing it into the front window of BettaSave.

It's unknown how badly hurt Lauren and Joey are after the horrifying crash drama, but the show's latest hard-hitting storyline will leave Lauren in a whole load of trouble.

The latest plot revolves her romance with her cousin Joey, who is played by David Witts.

A source told The Daily Star about the romance: 'This is going to be a huge storyline across the autumn.

'Lauren hits the booze and shows her vulnerable side to Joey. He's there for her and feels very protective. The more time they spend together the more they start to realise their feelings for each other are not just that of cousins.'

They try to hide their romance secret from Lauren's parents Max and Tanya and Joey's dad Derek, played by Jamie Foreman.
The source added: 'It's a powerful force. The attraction is so strong between them that it's going to take something huge to stop them jumping into bed.'

It's not the first time Laura Branning has had a major storyline featuring a car accident - she tried to kill her dad by knocking him down in 2008.

The enduring soap was celebrating last night after scooping three TV Choice awards on Monday night. including Best Soap.

There were also gongs for Shane Richie (Best Soap Actor) and Tony Discipline (Best Soap Newcomer).
