And her albums are always a good mix of dance, R&B and ballads.

Writing is not for everybody (I never get this point... if all musicians wrote that would cut the jobs of so many song writers...), but she gets about to a load of shows + venues and releases 100's of tour dates. Rihanna has confirmed plans to embark on a new world tour next year.

The singer revealed that she will travel the globe with her latest album Talk That Talk in 2013 and teased that the shows will be "bigger" than anything she has ever done before.

"We're going to be going on tour next year," Rihanna told Capital FM.

"So this year we're spending our time planning to make sure it's bigger than anything we've done and something more impactful, maybe something different, so my fans can get excited about it."

Pressed for more details, Rihanna added: "Too early to talk!"

Rihanna has landed a lead voice role in a new film from DreamWorks Animation, the makers of Shrek and Kung Fu Panda.

The singer-actress will appear alongside Jim Parsons from TV comedy The Big Bang Theory in an upcoming animated movie called Happy Smekday!.

The film is an adaptation of The True Meaning of Smekday, a popular children's sci-fi novel by author Adam Rex that was published in 2007.

Tim Johnson, who helmed previous DreamWorks Animation hits Antz and Over The Hedge, is to direct. Get Smart writers Tom J. Astle and Matt Ember will provide the screenplay.

I don't think TTT exactly flopped. But if it did it's not because people thought it was crap. Rated R is her most critically acclaimed album and everyone seems to love it yet it did reasonably the same :shrug: She just didn't promote the singles enough.

Rihanna will earn a reported £5m to switch on the Christmas lights at London's Westfield shopping centre.

The 'We Found Love' star has reportedly been offered the huge sum to flick the switch and illuminate the shopping complex in Stratford, east London next month. The shopping centre is located near to the Olympic stadium and Westfield are keen to celebrate a huge year for the area.
