No, I have no desire to seriously hurt Louis Walsh because I didn't agree with his decision.

This type of thing is one of the reasons the show has gone down the pan in recent years - good acts, people who do have a real talent are booted off in favour of acts that are kept in for nothing more than the controversy and attempts at pulling viewers in - knowing that they will never make the grade. It's been this way for years and imo, it's ruined a good show.

In fact I believe it is what Louis wanted to do anyway,I don't blame him, he was the last judge, he had Dermot yelling for a name after spending most of the show with inane chatter and not leaving enough time for the sing off and vote afterwards. Louis also had huffy Gary on his feet screaming at him to save Carolynne and also Nicole yelling for him to save Rylan too.
He liked both acts and I think in that scenario I would have taken it to deadlock,never believing that Carolynne had polled the least votes however.

At the end of the day, unbelievably and impossible to understand why but Carolynne did actually get the least votes from the viewing public who voted.
How she did though,is a total mystery to me.She really is a great singer.

Really hope people don't start blaming Dermot as they usually do because it's actually ridiculous to do so. Dermot will have had the producers screaming in his ear to hurry Louis up (as was evident by him becoming increasingly annoyed) and, as he made clear on Xtra Factor if it wasn't already obvious, he can only accept an answer to the question 'who do you want to send home?'. As silly as it may sound to not accept Louis saying 'I want to save Carolynne', that isn't Dermot's problem, there are clear stipulations he has to follow and once Louis had said 'I want to take it to deadlock' (as is an acceptable phrase) that was that. Dermot just does as he's told, he's the host - he doesn't run the bloody show.

I have to say though Dermot getting pissed off with Louis was very amusing.

Why in an hours show is the main reason for the show crammed into just near 10 minutes at the very end.

The judges really have no say though, it's the producers who use every single opportunity to cause controversy and maximum press exposure. They may as well have filmed the runner whispering the order in Louis' ear.... Oh wait, they did! :mad:

Meh, par for the course with the X Factor. I'm just surprised it was in week 1 - I guess they figured Rylan would be safe for the first few weeks. To be entirely fair to the competition - they took it to deadlock and the person with the least votes went home in the very first week. Can't get fairer than that. I thought Gary Barlow was very rude to Rylan to the point of being out of order - the guy CAN sing, I think Mr Barlow is possibly a bit homophobic, or is at least very uncomfortable with Rylan's persona on the stage. It's a shame for Carolynne that she thought she had been saved and then it went to deadlock, but I thought her song choice was ridiculous last night and even though she did very well in the sing off, she's still nowhere near among the best singers on the show.

How farcical was Gary's walkout when he spent last year giving a talent free Cocozzi standing ovations.The X factor is an entertainment show more than a legit signing contest, when will people get that. There have always been better singers left at bootcamp. I dont find Rylan to be light relief I find him to be a joke. Same with Jonny Robinson, Jedward, Wagner in fact all the joke acts that polluted the show for so long. I dont think watching bad singers is entertaining no matter how many dancers, flashing lights, smoke machine etc there are on stage. You can basically train a chimp to do what Rylan does I dont know how anyone can find it entertaining and there are better singers than him at your local pubs next karaoke night. He brings down the integrity of the show
