View Full Version : Cat Disco, yeah yeah.
See I've got these two adorable little pushkins a few weeks back. I've wanted cats for years but couldn't when I was living at home because my mum is one of those riddiculous creatures that thinks cats are inherently filthy creatures worthy not of our love but constant disdain.
So now I sleep with them and I love them and they clean my hair and steal my tuna and my heart and I've become ... TAH-DAH! ... one of those annoying people who show you pictures of their children.
So we got Pat Patcat Beatrix Avocado :

Hey Stu, nice to see you. Your cats are beautiful. Great names... I have a big old ginger cat called Reginald Valerie Funboy the first.
Hiiiiiiiiiii :).
Yeah that name is awesome. Like I mean my long term plan now is to have a more rounded out 'Enders cast and recreate famous scenes from the soaps history using cats. It would be an awesome thing.
And I need Billy Mitchell Cat in my life.
Awww, they are so adorable, Stu :)

How I could have missed these pictures!
Look at Pat's eyes.
Peggy, the superman/woman:hugesmile:
Pat Beatrix just consumed the ground up makings of a joint off the coffee table accidentally.
She probably won't get a buzz or anything because THC needs to be boiled and consumed in a fat to activate orally [boil it in a frying pan with butter and make a lovely cosmic butter you can spread on toast, kids] but who knows. She's a weird cat not a person.
I have no new pics of the cats yet. My photographer friend took loads but he didn't develop them yet.
I might do a video tomorrow.
Cats.

Peggy's gone missing this morning. She's absolutely nowhere to be found and the only possible escape route was the spare bedroom window which opens out on to a four story drop. Can kittens be that brave? Would she have survived?
I'm beside myself. I seriously can't even process it. It isn't even upsetting me or worrying me. Numb etc.
The trouble with it is if she went out that window and survived with her legs intact it's not an easy route to figure out back to our house. She went out the back of the apartment complex and to get back to our front door she will have to go up the street, into a courtyard, and around it. At least if she went out the front door it would have been easy.
I feel awful about the fact that I keep thinking "at least it's not Pat". Pat's alternating between frantic meowing and hiding under the duvet right now. Can she get over losing her sister at six months old? She seems a solitary cat who enjoys human contact so I dunno would it be best to keep her on her own or get another kitten. I feel awful [recurring theme] about even thinking this far ahead :(.
I'm putting it on all the Cork/Munster area animal pages and will have to print signs out tomorrow morning. That should be devastating.
Oh well. I know none of you can help find her and I don't want consolation. Maybe just similar tales and the end result?
Niamh.

It's still early days Stu, she might turn up, cats are very resilient, I'd keep walking around the area if I were you. Thing about cats is, if she's lost and someone else starts feeding her she'll probably just stay away
We got her back. Bloody haunted. She lept out the four story window and went on an adventure up and down Shandon Street before being found by one of those absolute saints who do this sort of work voluntarily for a living.
She's shaken up but glad to be back :).

I am so happy to hear the good news.
You are lucky to have such people, honestly.
I had lost a cat years ago, she never returned (local papers, trees and etc.)
When I heard noise in the midnight, I would get up and look around outside, or wondered whether she was eating or, cold or wet ...
endless heartache.

Aw...cats are so phenominal aren't they....my cat fell out of a top floor once and was fine too...I have had them go missing for days and then miraculously turn up meowing and bitching at me as if I had "made" them go... Glad you got her back

Oh that's great! How did they know where she came from? You're lucky she wasn't hit by a car, that's a busy street

Gorgeous cats! And so pleased you got her back...
We have a cat, his name is Patch (full name Patch Patches O'Hoolihan Wilson-Pearce) or PWP, stinker, stinks, Patchicles, Patchy cat (he answers to all of those) & he went missing at a similar age, it was awful, thought we'd never see him again, but he turned up the next day covered in oil so god knows where he had been! We think he may have been under a cars bonnet, so it doesn't even bear thinking about where he went or how close to death he may have come! :(

That's heartbreaking, Sooty :(.
The girl who found Peggy knew it was ours because we put it all over the internet as soon as we knew she was missing and it so happened that the girl herself had a Facebook for this sort of business.
