To be fair to Jamie though I can see the producers giving up on sabotaging him and just letting him run as the 'LOL let's wind up the judges' act in a similar way to Wagner.

Rylan or Lucy.

Chris isn't really a novelty act... he's just the really irrelevant old guy who would've been comfortable in series 1 or 2, but in this whole "OMG MUST BE MODERN x" age (despite the show only spawning about 5 routinely successful acts) he sticks out.
