Nah, Tulisa got bitchy when talking about Gary's mentoring so he just made a petty comment back. Both sides lost.
She'll think twice next time before trying to lecture the winning combination of Gary and Maloney

IMO he was very petty and I thought that comment was uncalled for, she was giving her constructive opinion on Chris, but Gary's problem is that he is a sore loser and cannot take anyone criticising his acts and is trying to be the new Simon Cowell- All in the script!
Although I do like Tulisa, perhaps this is some karma for her comments to Misha B last year;).

I thought it was a nasty, below the belt comment especially against a woman, but hey, different strokes for different folks I guess :idc:

I did smile at it but thought Gary out of order. He doesn't take criticism well does Gary but likes to give plenty out.

He did last night but only when the issue was raised. Of course Gary is an ex smoker and they are often the worst as to people who still do smoke.
I thought he was out of order,he has done plenty of 'live' TV in the past to know you should choose what you say more carefully.
He just comes across as smug and arrogant to me on X Factor anyway,I can see how he and Robbie Williams were often at loggerheads with each other.
the dignified thing to do would have been to rise above it, that would have made barlow look like the di*k, but she came back like a stroppy child with the red wine comment, unclassy little chav is what she is, i dont want to watch her for my saturday night's entertainment.

Nice way of twisting it to make it Tulisa's fault.
Never seen that before

he turns away laughing as he say's it
what's aggresive about that? is it the fact it stated a fact (probably)?
i didn't see no aggresivness

What's not aggressive about laughing at someone on live TV after just insulting them in front of millions?

Tulisa's no saint. Gary was hilar
she thought she was great by attacking barlow about his song choice and she got put in her place, dont dish it out if you cant handle it.

Tulisa's no saint. Gary was hilar
Whether she's a saint or not has nothing to do with this, Tulisa was giving valid criticism and because he had no withstanding response Gary resorted to immaturely insulting her.

ag·gres·sion (-grshn)
n.
Hostile or destructive behavior or actions.
-----
in case you didn't know what it meant :)
Fairly sure that what Gary did counts as 'hostile' behaviour.

valid criticism? she wasn't even critiqueing (is that a word?) the singer, she was trying to score points against barlow and got shut down

i'd call what he did, saying what was on his mind or rather smelling what was in his face, he didn't get in her face or curse at her, if she attacked barlow like she did then he has every right to his say

She was critiquing the choices Gary had made for Chris' song choices, and I'm quite certain that the judges have always, since the start, passed judgement on the song choices, and who are these chosen by? The mentors. I don't get what's not valid about her criticism.

It went beyond the gentle ribbing of each others acts/song choice/staging and was personally offensive.
No wonder tulisa was shocked, how unprofessional..
Tulisa was trying to humiliate Gary in front of the whole nation by having a go at his mentoring, that was pretty hostile of her
Pretty wide but it made for great television

I'm no fan of Tulisa, but she was doing her job. No need for Gary to make a pathetically childish insult.
Although, to be fair, from his reaction after he said it, I do think he meant it as a joke because he didn't have a response to what she was saying. But still no excuse for being unprofessional.
As for "destroying" her, I think Gary came out looking worse than her.
oh mtvn you lad you
Yes that was such a laddy comment

I watched it on YouTube earlier as I'd heard about it and was out last night so perhaps it didn't have the same shock factor than it would live but...I don't know...uncalled for? Yes. Funny? Yes. It's TV at the end of the day. Yeah it was rude but I'm not calling OFCOM up over it.
