Rylan's not the best of singers and of course there's not much potential there either so in the end why does it really matter which act goes? At the end of the day Rylan's a much better act to watch and provides a lot more entertainment than Kye does. Now if this was Rylan VS Ella, and they sent her home, then perhaps we could have some form of serious discussion about the direction this show is going in - but they're not. Kye was what I like to call a 'filler' act, not going to win - just there to make up the numbers. Let's not kid ourselves.

I don't blame Tulisa at all, she has championed Rylan from the start,she decided to take it to deadlock and after all his huffing and puffing, it is Gary not Tulisa who needs to look at his situation on X Factor.
His acts have for some reason polled the least votes cast in their weeks in the bottom 2 when deadlock has been the way it was decided who goes out.
Therefore whatever he has done with his acts,he has not done enough to connect them to the public and get the public voting for them enough.

Gary also needs to re-assess his position as to Christopher, every single one of the 3 acts Gary put through to the live finals have came bottom of the poll likely in their weeks going out, they are all gone.
The only one he now has is the one he himself actually chose not to put through.
That says a lot for his judging,mentoring and song selection skills in my opinion.

Having said that, I was stunned Kye was in the bottom 2 at all,he was for me the best of the night last night but in the end he got the least votes from the public and if he is getting the least votes from the public now, it would not indicate that he would do well from X factor as the Winner.
Kye may well do much better now going out at this stage than be forced to sing songs of Gary's choosing that the voting public clearly don't like him doing, that in the end is Gary's fault,not Tulisa's.

As harsh as it sounds the only reason why a lot of people find Rylan 'entertaining' is because every week he makes a fool of himself and it's fun to laugh at. Who would actually buy his records? And who in their right mind would give him a presenting job?

Jahmene, for me, is actually one of the better singers in the competition. He has an awful lot of soul in his voice for one so young. He could go on to great things. Why do you find him screechy? Do you not think he hits the high notes well?

You're right, but I think you're missing the point. Rylan appeals to the same demographic that gives those people their careers - evidently they are the same people watching X Factor. Most of this year's contestants are utter crap and won't sell records. It has nothing to do with talent and everything to do with marketability. Marcus Collins came 2nd last year, is a fantastic singer and performer, and yet falls flat on his face as a popstar. Not one of this year's contestants are popstars. Ella, Jahmene and James all have nice voices, but they're not going to be successful popstars. Rylan will end up having one of the most, if not the most, successful careers off the back of this show - he has a personality and evidently people like it enough to have voted him this far. Kye on the other hand - nice voice, but a boring performer. He just doesn't have 'it', whatever 'it' is. I'm surprised Christopher Maloney is still in the competition and I'm surprised both the boy bands are there too. I wouldn't be surprised if District 3 and Chris both crash out before Rylan, followed by Union J.
