LOL that disease being kept under wrap not something you want to talk about over a Sunday lunch
Vicky.

I dont see why you would mention it if its not an issue anymore really. Unless you had left it too long to get treated and have some kind of complications because of it.

But is there any need to discuss your past sex life? I don't think there is, I wouldn't want to know if it was the opposite way round

Exactly. Why would your partner even want to know that? I have no desire to picture my husband with someone else or to know if he ever had an std (unless it wasn't cured that is  )
If it's cured then I don't see the point in bringing it up.

If it came up in discussion somehow, I would tell her about it. But I wouldn't just tell her I had gonorrhea randomly on the way to the movies though.

It's all about good communication BB12 and what's right for each individual couple, me and my husband for example have never wanted to know about eachothers past sex life, not because we're hiding anything but because we just don't want or need to know about it.

I would not tell. And the person who gave it to me would be dead, so it wouldn't be like they would be talking any time soon.

I don't see a reason to mention it, I wouldn't deny it if they asked though, which I doubt would be a normal question for someone to ask in the first place. Sounds like an awkward situation though, if you feel your husband should know it would probably be best to tell them. o.o

I'd say keep it to yourself, there's no need to really inform him of it, the point is you are safe now :)

Nay reason to say anything. If it's gone then they have no reason to know. Although some STD's, although cured, do linger.

There's no need to tell them unless it puts them at risk. And you're free of it so what's the point of bringing it up? :/

Lol what if it's a comedy you're watching, randomly joking about the STD you had. Your wife/partner makes a comment about it, either ew/or laughs, would you feel obliged to let it pass, or let her reaction to it not affect you or would you say baby I had that?
