As the show has been so dull Ryland has been pushed as the "character" to keep tabloids interested.They had the chance to boot him out several times but kept him.Would be funny if it backfired and he went on to win it-which is a distinct possibility now.Then he could fulfill his dream of miming for the rest of his (short)showbizz life.

Well Ella and Jahmene have no star quality and are so boring and overrated. Rylan isn't a superstar either but when James is the only one showing any promise Rylan is stopping people from turning off.

Let's be real though, realistically the best hit any of these can get is #8 and that's James. Every other act from this series is destined to flop and collectively they all are the reason millions are turning off

I don't watch to think "I wonder what chart position so and so will get after the show" though, all the good singers went so they're going to need the entertainment (which I appreciate not everyone is going to like) because it keeps a fair amount of viewers watching (which is evident by the fact they're still in)
