That's just silly. You don't know what's fake and what isn't, unless you know him personally?
I have to laugh when people say it's to stop him getting votes. If that was the case it clearly isn't working as he would have been out long ago. The powers that be aren't stupid, they know that 'fake' stories and unfounded criticism would have a rebound effect. An 8 yr old knows that.

The X Factor powers that be couldn't afford to set out to deliberately blacken someones character and carry out a witch hunt just because they don't think someone will sell as many records as somebody else. They never did it before and they aren't doing it now.
He has a good voice, after all - and they did put him through to judges houses so they liked him well enough until they got to know him.

The common sense answer is that there is clearly some truth (maybe a lot) in it all. Otherwise Chris would be denying everything loudly and clearly, and he isn't. He's relishing the sympathy and milking it for all he is worth with his sadsack face and pleading teary eyes. He had even me feeling sorry for him last week until I wised up :hugesmile: He's damn good at it.
