Loads of spammers recently...

Over the last week there has seemed to be loads :o Why is this? Is the site hotlinked somewhere or something? And they're not even popping up in the early hours like normally.

There were millions making blogs until James sorted that problem out, so it's likely they have started using the forum more again

There was something like 18 registering one morning last week at 5am!!

Theres an anti spam website that the forum uses and it stops a lot of spammers from signing up, when that site goes down every now and then we get infested with them.

I witness this on a number of websites... it gets more and more frequent but just report it, but usually mods catch it quick enough

No point reporting them I don't think. The mods hunt spammers for sport.

Reported a few in my time just for the sake of it but yes the mods do catch them very quick

Yes, that was the day! I got rid of 10 and then another ten were registering all at the same time. This happened for nearly an hour. :bored:
