Johnny got worked up during this meeting and went to phone Jake to order him to kill Sean. As he lifted the receiver, he had a massive heart attack, and tried to whisper into the phone "Jake... kill him for me". His cellmate mistakenly claims that Johnny wanted Jake dead. As Ruby prepared to celebrate her 18th birthday in Walford, she sacked Jake for causing trouble between Sean and Johnny. He finally lost patience with her, told her what he thought of her, took some money from the safe at Scarlet and packed his bags. As he walked out of Albert Square for good, he was confronted by a sinister-looking stranger who asked if he was Jake Moon. Jake has not been seen since, and is presumed dead, although this is uncertain.

Not quite up there with the all time great Dennis Rickman but they killed him off aswell so Jake is the best we can hope for

i disagree with the fact alfie is saving the show - he is killing the show - i think we need to stop looking for people to save it and continue to rid the teens and get a writer who can do a good job like emmerdale.
