Britney has confirmed her new album!

Britney plans on taking the music industry by storm in 2013 with the release of her new studio album, the last one she needs to fulfill her contract with label RCA. She confirmed the news on Twitter she’s excited for the next installment, and is collaborating with “some new inspiring producers.”

She Tweeted:

Nearly a year ago, fans caught wind Brit planned on working on the new album beginning on December of 2012, but we already know she’s hit the studio.

Pharrell Williams might replace Dr. Luke as co-executive producer on Album 8, according to new reports.

Grammy nominated writer Elijah Blake tells ThatGrapeJuice.net Britney’s team enlisted him to begin working on cuts for her next release.

“I think her fans will be surprised by it,” said Blake. “I would say its definitely the ‘unexpected’ Britney in so many ways, in that she’s playing with new textures and stomping on new grounds and genres”.

More recently, Ina Wrolsden confirmed she’s on board, too.

“Excited For Next Album Of Britney” began trending World Wide on Twitter after her Tweets.

Sounds like she wants a brand new vibe for album 8, and we can’t wait.

claims that Britney acted odd backstage of her perfume ad and X Factor.

The X Factor’s wrapped up, but reports recently surfaced claiming Britney’s behavior behind-the-scenes was bizarre, reports the NYDailyNews.com.

“She acts like she has a different contract than everyone else,” said a source. “She shows up late, she wanders around aimlessly and she is in her own world. She wasn’t ready for this responsibility.”

Despite the source claiming Britney couldn’t handle the heat, homegirl managed to have an extremely stable and consistent season. Sure, Simon may have paid her the $15 million in hopes for an on-camera meltdown, but apparently she saved all the craziness for a smaller audience backstage.

This isn’t the first story of its kind. Last August, RadarOnline reported Britney became erratic on set during her commercial shoot for Fantasy Twist.

“Britney didn’t interact with the cast or crew at all during the two day shoot and she seemed to be just going through the motions when the camera was rolling, and seemed out of it,” the source said last summer.

The latest insider adds to the wackiness, telling NYDailyNews of that same fragrance shoot:
“First, she wanted the producers to fly Vanilla Ice in to duet with her, which was just weird. They called him and he wanted $500,000, so that wasn’t going to work,” says the source. “Then, she demanded that exotic animals be flown in to be in the video and they had to tell her that that wasn’t going to work for legal reasons and insurance reasons. She wanted to do her own makeup and when she would get it done, she would just mess it up on top of what they did.”

What held Britney together during the recent backstage dramas of The X Factor and Fantasy Twist is her fiance Jason Trawick.

Family worry that break-up with Jason could trigger a meltdown

Britney’s closest family and friends worry her alleged rocky relationship with Jason Trawick may send her spiraling back to a place she spent five years evolving from.
“They’ve told friends they want to end the relationship,” a source told In Touch magazine.

“[They have] zero emotional connection. Britney is going to return the bands. This could mark the end of a very fragile relationship.”

It was reported Britney and Jason planned on mending their relationship during the holidays, traveling to Brit’s hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana for a little R&R with family. It looks as if nothing’s changed and those closest to her hope she can weather the storm.

“Everyone is trying their best to keep grounded, but they’re scared it could happen again,” the source added.

Britney Tweeted fans on New Year’s Eve: “Spending a quiet New Years Eve in with my boys and little miss Hannah. Let’s hear some interesting resolutions for 2013?”

Britney has made a new friend in Bradley Cooper

Actor Bradley Cooper recently split from girlfriend Zoë Saldana and already began communicating via text message with another A-list celebrity. That’s right: it’s Britney, bitch.

It’s rumored Cooper’s been texting Brit Brit as recent as New Year’s Eve. You know, on her quiet night in.

This may come as no surprise to those closest to Britney, who’s said to be on the outs with fiance Jason Trawick.

One source thinks the two are talking simply for companionship. “With the way things are with Jason right now, she just needs a friend, and that’s what he [Bradley] has been to her just as she has been to him.”

Rebellion, a clip posted on Britney’s official website in 2006, remains one of the greatest mysteries in her musical career.

The lyrics gave fans a peek into a dark time of her life where she trusted no one, not even those closest to her.

Jeff Dandurand, co-producer of “Rebellion” (along with Christopher “Notes” Olsen), recently registered a new song on ASCAP (IPI #521354781) sang by Britney called “Never Lie.” He lists “Rebellion” in his official bio.

Not only has a new song we’ve never heard of come to light, but this potentially means the full “Rebellion” does exist.

Fans are completely captivated by its rawness that’s so rarely displayed with Britney. Where is this track in full? Why did she choose to release it? When was it recorded?

These questions we may never find answers to, but we know the track in full is out there (Britney was spotted holding a demo with tracks for Blackout back in 2007, and Rebellion was listed as one).

It is unknown if “Never Lie” is slated for the Album 8 release.

Britney and Jason have split up


"Jason and I have decided to call off our engagement," Britney says in the statement to PEOPLE. "I'll always adore him and we will remain great friends."

Adds Jason: "As this chapter ends for us a new one begins. I love and cherish her and her boys and we will be close forever."

"Jason didn't want to make the announcement until he was taken off the conservatorship. Interestingly, lawyers for the conservatorship are in court right now, along with Britney's dad, Jamie Spears, so it's possible Jason will be removed today."

Sources say it was a "friendly breakup" because the two simply "grew apart."

Britney also switched to CAA, an agency Trawick is not involved with.

Britney's rushed the pup to the vet three times in less than two months.

Forbes published an article regarding the conservatorship Britney's under for five years.

"The Britney Spears conservatorship saga has nearly reached its fifth year anniversary. We all remember her shaved head, public meltdowns, and wild paparazzi photographs. Her career, her relationship with her children, and even her life were all spinning dangerously out of control.

Compare that to her life now, five years later. Thirty-one-year-old Britney looks a great deal different from twenty-six-year-old Britney. She was just paid $15 million for one season’s work as a judge on the X Factor. Was she the best judge around? That’s debatable. There were reports that Simon Cowell wouldn’t have her back for another season, but it was Britney’s decision to leave X-Factor.

Either way, there’s no debate that Britney seemed … well, very normal. She was mature, composed, even graceful at times. She mentored teenage singers. She held herself together and gave constructive feedback. Britney was reportedly re-energized by the experience and is ready to start releasing new music and touring again.

What thirty-one-year-old Britney doesn’t look like is someone who is legally incompetent, unable to make decisions about her own life.

Conservatorships (and guardianships, as they are called in most states), are among the most drastic court proceedings around. People under conservatorship or guardianship lose the right to make even the most basic decisions for themselves. Getting married, spending money, choosing where to live, visiting doctors … people like Britney Spears can make none of those decisions for themselves.

These are legal proceedings normally saved for elderly individuals with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, or people with severe developmental disabilities. They are necessary to help those who are unable to protect themselves. They weren’t created as a legal means to protect valuable careers.

Britney’s situation was supposed to improve when she became engaged to her agent, Jason Trawick. He became her co-conservator for non-financial decisions, along with Britney’s father, James Spears. James and an attorney remain in control of all of her financial matters.

This past Friday, Jason Trawick was permitted to resign as her co-conservator and the engagement was called off. The former couple released statements touting how much they still care for each other, but they mutually decided to end it. Britney’s publicist called it a “difficult decision made by two mature adults.” But, only one of those adults is considered mature enough to make his own decisions in life.

Perez Hilton blogged that the reason for the break-up was that Britney resented Trawick controlling her life and acting as a babysitter rather than a romantic partner. There have been many reports before that Spears was fed up with the conservatorship and being treated like a child with no rights over her own life.

However, Britney is said to have a psychological condition, such as bipolar disorder, that justifies the continued need for conservatorship. Obviously, there is a great deal about her situation that the general public doesn’t know. But many people have psychological disorders without having their most basic rights stripped away from them. The question is, for how long does her condition and past meltdowns continue to justify this extreme remedy?

There is no question that Britney’s father, James Spears, did the right thing filing for conservatorship to protect her. He likely saved her life, and certainly saved her career. Under his management, her assets grew to $27.5 million by the end of 2010, according to accounting records filed in the conservatorship. Surely that figure has grown significantly through 2012.

But, does that justify the conservatorship indefinitely? Shouldn’t Britney be given a second chance to live her life as an adult at some point? Will it take another five years? Longer?

We’ve written before that the biggest reason the conservatorship would continue was due to a number of lawsuits against Britney. The conservatorship shielded Britney from having to testify in those lawsuits.

That no longer appears to be an issue. The last, and most troubling, of the lawsuits was dismissed a couple months ago. Britney’s former manager, Sam Lufti, launched an ugly suit against Britney and her parents. When the trial started, Lufti’s lawyers focused on Britney’s crazy behavior from 2008, trying to make the case about her chaotic past rather than what the case should have turned on — did Lufti have a valid legal contract with team Spears that was breached?

The Judge was not impressed with Lufti’s case and threw it out midway through trial. Lufti wasn’t able to subpoena Britney into court to testify, as he tried to do. The conservatorship was a big reason why Britney was protected from testifying.

There is some continued concern because Lufti has the right to appeal the Judge’s decision to dismiss his lawsuit. In fact, Lufti vowed to do exactly that. James Spears and his lawyers likely worry that if the conservatorship ends right after the Lufti lawsuit was dismissed, and while the case is on appeal, it would appear as if the conservatorship was merely a cover to protect Britney from the lawsuit.

At some point, however, enough time will pass where that excuse won’t be justified. At some point, Britney — whether she does or doesn’t have a psychological disorder — should be allowed to try to function as an adult. She can still have advisers, managers, and representatives to help her. But she should be allowed to make her own decisions for a change.

If she can be trusted to mentor children who want to be superstars, judge performers for millions of dollars, record albums and go on tours, her rights to be treated as an adult in her own personal life should be restored. It can be done over time, and in stages, starting with her basic personal decisions and onto her financial and career decisions down the road."

Is Britney performing in Las Vegas or not? Reports claim the deal is close to being finalized for residency at Planet Hollywood, but a source connected to the major hotel tells BreatheHeavy.com the bidding war is about her singing live.

"The hotels fear that people outside of Britney's fanbase would be disappointed by a lipsynched show," says the insider.

Many tourists in town who see shows are an older audience; hotels fear Britney may not attract a big enough crowd.

"The hotels are afraid to take her on because they feel people will demand refunds if the show is lackluster and lipsynched."

Vegas industry producers doubt Britney has what it takes to hold her own.

"My gut tells me she doesn't have the goods to deliver on a consistent basis," said Adam Steck, who has five shows in town and the upcoming Boyz II Men, reports LVRJ.

Steck believes the Vegas rumors are a "a big PR ploy" to distract audiences from her X Factor exit.

Steck added the $200 million deal "could add up if sweetened with other things like club appearances and merchandising deals. There's a rumor that Hakkassan (the Angel Management Group's nightclub in the works at MGM Grand) may be involved."

"You're rolling the dice. This is not Celine Dion," said Joey Battig, who tried to sign Whitney Houston to a Planet Hollywood Resort deal in 2009.

Rumors blazed last week claiming Britney signed a $200 million deal at Caesar's Palace's Colosseum, but insiders told BreatheHeavy.com it's not the case. All fingers point to Planet Hollywood's 7,000 capacity stadium instead.

"The beauty of that (Planet Hollywood Resort) room," said Battig, "is that you can curtain it off to 4,000 seats and expand if you sell more. I would bet they are guaranteeing her maybe half if she goes over 4,000."

"But I would only book her for Friday and Saturday. I think she would do 2,000 to 2,500 on a Friday or a Sunday; 4,000 on a Saturday."

It is thought Britney could receive $450,000 a night if she performs.

"I wouldn't guarantee her more than $150,000 a night, but I'd say, 'Roll the dice with me on the back end,' " Battig said. "We were guaranteeing Whitney $450,000 a night, three nights a week for a year. That's $1.3 million a week, $43 million a year."

That means Britney performs five shows a week for 32 weeks a year at an average ticket price of $150 to make $100 million, Battig said.

Battig thinks "it's a crap shoot" when it comes to signing Britney. A producer "has his head on the chopping block every night. If someone doesn't show up, you can give the (refunds) back, but you can't recoup those numbers."

Other costs most likely include $25,000 a night in rental for the venue, and $100,000 a week in advertising.

"Then you've got stagehands, lighting, sets, catering, limos, handlers and entourages. Pre-production on the show would be $1 million," Battig said. "Planet Hollywood has never done a big headliner because the risks are so high."

Sources connected to Planet Hollywood tell BreatheHeavy another problem in the bidding war is getting Britney to agree to sing live.

"I wouldn't take that risk."

He wouldn't, but many would and are.

Bonnie McKee has told interviewers at the Grammys that Britney has called her and asked to work with her. Bonnie is responsible for 'Hold It Against Me', 'Inside Out', 'Seal It With A Kiss', 'Gasoline' and 'How I Roll'. Shes also done a lot of work for Katy Perry.

Although I think shes a good writer/producer, her songs are nothing special and HIAM and HIR were two of the worst songs on Femme Fatale so i'd be a bit disappointed if she is working on the album.
