After a hectic vote, Ariel reveals why she voted with the side she did.

Ariel: "I personally would have preferred Drew to go and was under the impression that Ben, Lee, Conor, Reece, and Lucas would be voting the same. After talking to Lucas I figured out that wasn't the case and flipped to Conor to prevent a tie. Little did I know Conor had gone and done his own thing anyways. So it wasn't necessarily a choice I wanted, but I'm glad I did because otherwise I would have landed on the wrong side of the numbers."

Meanwhile, the reality of the game was hitting Drew harder than he thought it would

Drew: I'm getting a lot of pm's now from a majority of the players asking who am I going to vote for or trying to form groups to vote certain players out and I'm not handling it very well at all.. I felt bad after voting for Conor and he didn't take it well at all. I wish I could stick to myself and vote without going behind anyone's backs but it's not possible

Also feeling bad were the outsiders, Ben, Lee and Reece, who'd voted Drew at the last Tribal council.

Ben: I just wish that little clan would stab each other in the back and stop being so lovely to each other, considering only three voted for Drew, somebody is blindsiding (either Reece or Jenn or both).

Reece: I know people are aware [that I voted Drew] and there's probably going to be easy pickings as they think.

So it was bad news for three formerly powerful players. Meanwhile, Lucas's lone-wolf strategy played a huge role in the vote and it was something he clearly enjoyed.

Lucas: I wouldn't say I'm in an 'in crowd' I was just simply looking how to save my skin for a bit. I am just wondering around from person to person atm planting seeds, if it backfires, it backfires.

So the Bromance alliance plus Mollie and Ariel were looking to clean sweep their way to the final five.

Raph: I think I want to maintain most of them for as long as possible. I mean it's only really with Drew, Ariel, Jake and Mollie so until final 5 really

But maybe some of those alliance members were still paranoid, trying to cover every base they could

Ben: Raph wants to do a deal to get a me, him, Mollie final three but I'm not sure if I trust him or if trusts me.

At the immunity challenge, Raph, the current "Godfather" of the game won immunity and right at that point his game couldn't be looking any better. Ben was looking like the next likely target.

Mollie: [Ben] seems to be forming alliances left right and centre so why not, could be a big threat here.

Raph: I haven't decided to target Ben, I'm just going on the group with this one. Every move taking me a step closer to taking Mollie to the final. My goal in this game is to further Mollie's game because she's the best.

But little did they know that Ben had a few tricks up his sleeve.

Ben: I've tried making Lucas think that he is next to go and that he needs to vote Jake to save himself. I've tried making Reece and Jenn believe I have the idol and intend to use it on myself (in the hope one of them will say something to the others) which will make them cast their votes elsewhere (hopefully not Lee).

Seemingly, Lucas's lone-wolf strategy played in nicely to Bens plans

Lucas: Jake is next, I know the Drew crew will turn on me at some point, so why not weaken them first?

This meant yet again, Ariel was the swing vote and her binds to so many contestants had become a hassle.

Ariel: Right now I believe Raph, Mollie, Jake, Drew, and Lucas are all voting for Ben. Ben, however, claims to have the hidden immunity idol. I don't know whether to believe him or not. He says he, Lee, and Reece are voting for Jake and that he is playing the idol on himself. If he does, then Jake is going home with the second most votes. Otherwise Ben will be the one gone. This puts me in a pretty big bind. Both sides still think I am with them. If I vote for Ben and he plays the idol, him, Lee, and Reece could target me and potentially pull in Lucas. I don't want to personally vote for Jake because I've made an alliance with him and I would clearly be backstabbing Raph and Drew. Either way I vote I am going to end up pissing someone off. I considered not voting and just casting a vote for myself, but I couldn't go through because I just think it's too risky. So I am afraid I am going to have to go out on a whim and vote for Lucas. I'm fairly confident I will be the only person voting that way. I think I can do damage control well enough on both sides with a Lucas vote. If all goes well Ben will play the idol and Jake will go home. This will help me get further into the young people's alliance but will hopefully still preserve any trust Reece, Lee, and Ben have in me. I regret playing both sides so hard now, but I've made my bed and now I just have to figure out some kind of way to work things out.

So Ariel chose not to vote with either alliance, throwing a vote to Lucas.

Meanwhile, Mollie's inactivity had become a problem, as she voted herself, leaving the bromance alliance down to 3 votes. Lucas sided with his fellow former Lanakila's meaning Jake was blindsided 4-3-1-1.

Immediately after the vote, Ariel was full of regrets.

Ariel: Yeah, I sent Jake home alright. Not so happy with my decision. I still managed to piss several people off and still haven't really picked a side. I think voting Ben may have been better...at least then I would have a solid alliance behind me for once.

However, while things were looking bad for Ariel, things couldn't have turned around in a better way for Reece.

Reece: Things have turned out well after the shaky start and the plan worked without even having to use the idol, so I feel as if things are coming to fruition - I definitely now feel as if I'm in a powerful spot. I just need to reign myself in as I don't want to get myself too out there and start being a target for having a clean track record. I like the strategy I'm using, by being a quiet small influence on those outside of my alliance (making it look like I'm harmless) whilst being an integral voice of the alliance and getting a big say on decisions, now I'm targeting Drew but I'm going to make it as if it wasn't any part my doing in his exit.

Mollie also gave some glorious insight to the game.

Mollie: I survived but it's hindered the alliance I'm supposed to be in I think

Fantastic Mollie, bravo. <3 Bens plan really was a great one, but of course, there was still a question he needed to answer.

Ariel: So Ben explained to me that Lee was actually the one with the idol and that she was supposed to play it for him. Sure. Whatever. He probably played me. It's hard to know for sure. I certainly know the idol isn't going to be a factor in my vote this time.

Ben: I admitted to them that I lied [about the idol play] but I know who has the idol as they were going to use it on me if needed and I was lying to work out who was the betrayer in our alliance.

But with targets flying everywhere due to loyalties being betrayed, loyalty-free Lucas was sitting pretty as every vote seemed to be going his way.

Lucas: I think I finally know what I'm doing here, I can't see me ****ing it up now, I think I have it in me to see myself through to the end now, I've just proven I can lie to people, so I'm gearing myself up and raring to go at every opportunity.

Things were going from strength to strength for Reece when Drew pretty much handed him his second immunity win.

Drew: We thought Ariel was on our side but it appears not after she voted for Jake so I took a bullet for the team and made sure she didn't win immunity earlier

It seemed this could be a big error, as his name was in the mix.

Lucas: Despite the fact I've been made aware of Aerial apparently voting for me, it's got to be Drew.

But it seemed that Ariel was unable to learn her lesson and yet again she was the swing vote.

Ariel: At the moment, yes, I am still playing both sides. I'm telling Ben's side that I am voting Drew and I am telling Raph's side that I am voting Ben. I guess I'll have to make up my mind at some point. I know both Ben and Drew have tossed my name around. I hope it doesn't end up that way, but I'm truly ok with it if it does come to that. At this point I think I have shot myself in the foot as far as the game goes. Hoping these guys can forgive me on the outside though.

Ariel sided with the former Lanakila's to vote Drew, while the remaining bromance alliance voted Ariel. Mollie missed her second vote, meaning Drew was voted out 5-2-2.

That last vote was a vote of seconds, the second Lanakila dominated vote, the second Ariel betrayal and the second Mollie absence. All of these would take a large part in the next vote..

After his two fellow bromancers had been voted out, Raph was the likely next person to leave the game, but when he and Lucas both won immunity it left everyone else scrambling. Ben Lee and Lucas were targeting Mollie and given her recent inactivity, it seemed certain she'd be going. However, Lucas decided this could be an opportunity to take out a bigger threat.

Lucas: Aerial has a ruthless streak in her I reckon, I need to take it down.

It seemed certain Mollie was going, but after a last minute vote from her and no vote from Ariel, Ariel was eliminated by a vote of 4-3, changing the balance once again.

After the elimination of a powerful player, people felt a lot safer.

Raph: She screwed me over a couple times in the game so I guess she saw it coming that I'd come after her. I feel much safer in the game without her around. As for strategy now, I've had to pull a pretty big move. I used my vulnerability to my advantage as well as the fact that Reece lost Ariel to align with him. It was my plan all along to get rid of Ariel in order to be able to work with Reece and it's really worked. I now have a final three deal with Ben and Reece. This way I'll carry Mollie through yet another round. Optimally, Lee will go this round, and Black dagger the next. Then in final 4, who knows if I'll take my lovely Mollie with me. It would break my heart though to have to not take her with me, so we'll see how things pan out. But until final 4, me and Mollie are definitely voting with Ben and Reece. #TeamRaphandMollie!

But maybe Raph shouldn't feel as safe as he did.

Ben: My biggest threats are now Reece and Raph, and they know that we are the three big threats to this game. I stuck with Reece since the start, so betraying him if I have to will be awful, and Raph I gave my word I wouldn't vote out. There have been several betrayals, so far I've not had to betray anyone, which was my plan, however nearing this stage I'm going to have to if I want to make the final 3. At this stage we are all going to have to betray somebody to get to the final, or make the final as a floater who really hasn't done much to warrant their position there.

Ben finally won an immunity challenge and his safety gave him the opportunity to make a big move.

Ben: So I think I've just persuaded Raph to vote for Lucas, and may work on Reece. I need to get Lucas and Lee to vote for one of them and try and bring this to a tie breaker. My plan is to get everyone to vote for Lee, while me Lucas and Lee vote for Raph. Lee uses the idol on herself, hence Raph goes. Now hopefully Lucas has stuck to his word and voted Raph and not said anything to him about this, although Lucas seems to switch sides more than most, lol.

But Lucas was seeing some flaws in his strategy.

Lucas: I know some people are clocking on and Ben suggests that I lied to him, so unless I can keep him and Lee sweet then I'm quite frankly screwed tbh. I hope Ben isn't to offended by my 'lying' and he sticks with this plan. If him/Lee/Me go for it we can make the final.

Raph: Hopefully this will be a smooth blindside. If not Ben and Reece have done an amazing job playing me and I could go home but hats off to them, then that would be a solid, solid move.

The vote came 3-3, but Lee chose to play her idol meaning Raph was sent home and Reece's betrayal may have been exposed.

Raph now hates me, but I had to oust a big player and I said I would stick by my original alliances for as long as I could, and so far I've not had to betray one of them. Now we are at the final 5 I know I have to destroy an alliance, it's just working out which one would be better. Reece and Lucas have both played a great game in different ways, but I do see Reece as the bigger threat because he is good at immunity challenges and will have Raph, Drew and Jakes vote. I'm just worried that if we keep Mollie and she makes the final that Raph and co will vote her because they don't want anyone else to win, and that would be an awful outcome just because Mollie hasn't done anything for the game (I know it's not her fault, but still would be a terrible outcome).

Ben: Just thought I'd say that my betrayal of Reece was probably my least fave part of the game. I had worked with him and Lee since the start of the game and then joined forces with Ariel and our plan was to all make the top 5 together. I knew at some point if I survived I would have to betray one of them, but after Ariel went I had to change tactics and look at who was on the jury and likely to vote for me. I would hope Ariel will vote for me, and Reece (although after that betrayal I wouldn't blame him if he didn't). The rest will probably vote anyone but me if I make the final just because I was a main cause for quite a few of them being eliminated from the game. My next target is Lucas (:() just because I see him as the biggest threat now, so will have to try convince Lee and Mollie to vote for him. I really need to win this immunity as I know that otherwise I will be voted out of the game, which usually happens just before a final (The Mole 2 and ICB4 , although that one I shot myself in the face, lolol).

After an initial tie between Lucas and Mollie, Lee got her way and Lucas was voted out.

I just want to say that I'm so grateful for everyone that took part in this game. You've all added something, been great contestants and made this a fantastic game. I've had a really rough year so far and this has been a great escape from all the stuff that's been going on in my personal life. To be able to come here to have people appreciate my hard work has been one of the only few things to happen to me so far that I've been able to smile about, so I just really, really want to thank you for that.

That being said, with all due respect to Mollie (because she's a very lovely young woman) I'm very disappointed with how the results panned out. Ben made incredible moves to get to the end and Lee played a very understated, solid game with very few strategic errors. When somebody who only posted 52 times (less than half of what our first juror posted) it really makes me consider if people really honestly do appreciate the effort we put into this. So forth I won't be hosting this again. When people put effort into something and it results in a popularity contest it's really, really frustrating. And when I say effort, I don't just mean myself and Marc, but Ben and Lee who contributed throughout the game. There is no point in spending hours and hours on creating something fun for the forum when the person who wins spends the minimum time possible to win. I didn't have to do this game and I had so many reasons not to start it and I major reason to quit it halfway, but I continued because I felt like people respected the game.

So congratulations Mollie, I apologise and understand if you hate me for saying this, so be it, but after spending so much time and effort on this in such a ****ty period of my life, I have to air how I feel about this.

James, I think we all fully appreciate what you brought to the game. Hopefully the post I made above of why we voted Mollie will make it clearer to you, and how it wasn't just a popularity contest thing. Also, Mollie winning represented a large proportion of the jury winning. So it's almost as if a bunch of people won. Also, Mollie did play the most honest game in her defense, aside from the rest that I posted above.

You're an amazing host though and if anything Mollie winning articulates the amount of interest the series sparked - so much so that there was a movement for a single person to win despite the controversy around it. You're such an epic host and you should do it again, provided you feel up to it, because it's honestly been the best TiBB game ever. Please dont feel down dude :(

Because he was a threat. I would be happy if Mollie had won and actually done something and participated (I know not her fault) but when people site reasosn like she has had a **** year as a reason for her to win, this isn't BB. She played no strategy because she barely played. 52 posts throughout the entire game, honestly is an awful outcome.

If people didnt want me winning because I stabbed them in the back, they should have at least voted for Lee who did lie low (like Mollie), didn't betray anyone (like Mollie) but who actually participated, played her idol at the right time, made some good moves to get herself to the final.'

If you look at the people on the jury, I think it's pretty clear that a lot would vote for Mollie, as mentioned the time to get rid of Mollie and prevent that was when Lucas was evicted.

Also this has happened in the real game survivor. the jury is sometimes filled with people who are not happy with the strategic players. So they vote for someone in the final who hasn't backstabbed them.

Mollie won fairly, she didn't cheat or break the rules. Maybe be mad at the game but there is no need to take it out on her.

I was in a spiteful mood. I don't appreciate how others haven't viewed this game in the same, serious way as I have. I've put too much effort in it and I just feel silly for doing so now. Seems wasted time, I put it over actual work at times.. TiBB took over my reality and now I feel retarded for letting it. Again I totally don't blame Mollie. I agree with this, I've been watching the game and there were no scruples in shafting Lucas?? Taking Mollie to the final was tactical so now its backfired then live with it.

I made the final of a Tibb game a couple of years back and out of us finalists the person who'd done the least won. It's always a popularity contest, everything is. Ahh I understand, yes it is just a forum game and none of it is personal, I do feel bad because of not getting to participate in this properly, but I don't want you to feel like your effort has been a waste because I do really appreciate how much work goes into these games, if the timing wasn't so bad with things offline I'd have literally been obsessed with this like I almost always am with games on here, again I probably should've walked but I feel like that'd have been more of a waste of your effort because walkers disrupts the whole planning of these games and I wanted to keep going the best I could. There's no real way to say who 'deserves' to win - if anything, that's up to the jury to decide and WE voted Mollie - WE, four people who were 100% committed to the game, so you really can't get that mad at that. Not to mention, it's really not Mollie's fault. I campaigned for her. I kept trying to save her round after round. If you want to blame this on someone, please blame me and not Mollie.

Not what happens necessarily in survivor, it depends who are in the jury. And a good gameplayer would plan out their game to satisfy the type of people who would end up in the jury. Clearly Ben's game didn't do that. He should've played more to the type of people who were in the jury if he wanted to win, and clearly this jury put a lot of importance in loyalty and kindness.

Photography contest can be a popularity thing too though(depending on the judges panel that year)..even without adding names sometimes its obvious who did what by the writeups, and they could PM people asking to vote for theirs too.

Like I said, it's done, I enjoyed the game, I played the best I could and played my part in making the game interesting. I wouldn't change a thing about the way I played, it got me runner-up and a final five that was made up entirely of the original lanakila tribe. :hugesmile:

James, I think we all fully appreciate what you brought to the game. Hopefully the post I made above of why we voted Mollie will make it clearer to you, and how it wasn't just a popularity contest thing. Also, Mollie winning represented a large proportion of the jury winning. So it's almost as if a bunch of people won. Also, Mollie did play the most honest game in her defense, aside from the rest that I posted above.

You're an amazing host though and if anything Mollie winning articulates the amount of interest the series sparked - so much so that there was a movement for a single person to win despite the controversy around it. You're such an epic host and you should do it again, provided you feel up to it, because it's honestly been the best TiBB game ever. Please dont feel down dude :(

Lee also played a very honest game, so I don't see how that's an argument for that. You have to see it from the hosts perspective though, where the person who's inactivity has literally become the running gag of the entire game wins, making it like the game is a joke to everybody. But thank you anyway :)

Tbh you all had the opportunities to take Mollie out, and you didn't so you cant complain over her winning. Ben why didn't you take Lucas?

Also you don't need to be the most active/most competitive/most vocal to win a reality show or a game in general. Laying by and riding the coattails of others, whilst not being respected, is a legit way to get yourself further, and it has worked for others before

This is the thing, anyone who's talked to me in-depth about Survivor/BBUS knows that I champion a UTR strategy. My favourite winners use it and I've used it most the time in the games (that I've won tyty) Lee played an incredible, honest, UTR game, was active throughout and played a solid strategy. In fact, Mollie played an amazing UTR strategy in the first Survivor TiBB and had she won that time, I'd be pleased. This time her strategy really wasn't her own concious decision, and that's the frustrating part for me.

As i said you don't need to post lots to be the most satisfactory winner. People vote for the winner on their own criteria, it happens on reality shows all the time, the person who has played the best game doesn't win.

When a host puts effort in the game, we'd like it if the people who win also put the same amount of effort in. I know that Mollie couldn't come on for certain reasons and I'm okay with that, but to have people award her for next to nothing and take it away from two very solid players is disheartening not only to the other players, but myself and Marc as hosts.

Plenty of people have complimented your efforts.

Also can we just take note of Lee's great gameplay since nobody voted for her. She played a great game too, she stayed out of the backstabbing, held onto her idol until she needed it, was a strong player in the tribe challenges and made sure that she didn't create too many enemies. I honestly thought Lee had this win in the bag.

on a lighter note, these were my ~pre game cast assessments~

Mollie proved last season to be a huge threat without having won many immunities or made big strategic plays and that just goes to show how much the social game plays into Survivor. If those who aren't well acquainted with Mollie are smart, they'll get rid of her as soon as possible. If they don't, they could find themselves overwhelmed by Mollie and her loyal friends.

Ben is the biggest threat out there with no doubt. He's great at challenges, very well liked and has proven time and time again that he's a ruthless player in these games. I think if the other contestants are wise enough, they'll eliminate him as soon as possible. However, if Ben can ride a wave of alliances and convince people to keep him in because he is a target then he'll be on an easy road to victory.

Lee is the dark horse in this game for me. She's smart, likeable and hard-working enough to win this game but she also has the great ability to slip under the radar. Last time she played she started very strong but began to cut ties to her alliance too early. I think if Lee has learnt from her previous mistakes she's a huge contender to win.

I'm on the fence about Lucas. I've got a feeling if Lucas doesn't form a strong alliance he might be out early. He has the potential to be a dark horse in this game and could potentially be very manipulative, but I'm not sure if he'll be able to outplay some of the other more cunning players.

reece is a recent fan of the show and I think reece will be a player who gets stuff done and make moves. At the same time, I think reece is a player who's likeable enough to coast through and make no enemies. If reece chooses to play too hard too fast and forget how likeable he is, I can imagine him hurting himself in the long run. He's a great contender to win though.

Raph will be a dominant player in this game, I have no doubt about that. He's charming and sweet but strategic enough to take down the competition. My only worry with Raph is how much time and effort he's going to put into the tasks. In some games I've seen him in it has been his downfall, but if he has solid enough alliances then I can see Raph winning the game.

I think everybody's going to underestimate Ariel. She's a superfan of the game, has strong loyalties to a handful of members and seems dedicated enough to get far. As a new member however, Ariel needs to step back from the game and work on building relationships with some people she doesn't know too well. If she can do this, she has a fighting chance at winning.

I don't think Drew will win only because I feel he has a lot going against him. He's a fairly new member, has openly told people about his alliance with Locke and isn't a fan of the show. However, I think what Drew does have going for him is that he comes across as very loyal. If people can see this trait in him, pick him up in their alliance and he manages to get to the end, he could be the underdog.

Jake has the likeability and activity factor to make it far in the game, but I don't think Jake will be able to make big strategic plays and he could be swept aside in the big picture. I do think however if he can get to the end with an alliance who've played hard, he could still be in with a shot just based on likeability alone.

Conor is a fairly long serving member of TiBB but self-admittedly he doesn't have many friendships. I do think however he can build bonds and be manipulative enough to get far in this game. He needs to get a good balance in the game because if he plays too hard or doesn't play at all, he'll be an early exit.

One of the players I'm most excited to have is Roy. Roy is ruthless and cunning and definitely smart enough to get to the end. My only qualm with Roy's chances of winning is his jury management. I can see Roy making promises he can't keep, pissing everyone off and getting few votes at the end. If Roy can manage to make a good balance of strategic and social game then he's got something going for him.

Unfortunately I don't think Salman will get too far. If Salman can observe enough, make a solid alliance and prove himself a trustworthy player then Salman can get far in this game. I'd love to see him overcome the big threats in the game and take the title, but I'm not sure if he has it in him. He could prove me wrong though!

Jon is extremely dedicated in forum games and for that reason alone I think he's a huge contender to win. He's smart and he's a fan which should help him, but Jon needs to build good relationships with the people he's playing with to make sure he can bank the jury votes at the end. I'm almost certain he'll get far, but I'm not very certain that he'll win.

Josiah's game completely depends on if he's able to form the right alliance with the right people. My big question mark with Josiah is that I'm not sure he's going to be completely honest like he usually is or if he's going to be more devious. I'm inclined to think if he can get to the end having played a good honest game, he could be an underdog and take the title.

Locke has allies that he'll let everybody know about. However, Locke desperatley needs to look outside of his friendships to make alliances with people otherwise people will clock onto him and remove him fast. I don't think Locke will play particularly strategically, but he has proven to be hard working, smart and likeable enough, so who knows, maybe this time he can take the crown.

I don't think Ryan will make it far in this game purely because of how little known he is around the forum. All I know of him is that he likes football and supported Speidi? I'm not even sure. He could prove me completely wrong and be a much better player than anybody predicts, but for now I honestly don't think he has what it takes.

I have to say, it was a very strong cast tbh. Of all the games I have played, this by far required the most effort to stay in the game and talk people out of eliminating me. The final 9 were all contenders for the win at one point and the game could have gone so many ways.
