September 2009 - September 2010 (1 YEAR)
September 2010 - September 2011 (2 YEARS)
September 2011 - September 2012 (3 YEARS)
September 2012 - September 2013 (4 YEARS)

BB's initial two year contract, signed in 2011 and renewed in 2012, ended with BB13 last summer, and the current contract, if it wasn't for the additional CBB clause they added in, would have started with CBB11 this year and ended with BB14 next summer, but BB airs in series, Super Casino doesn't, so I don't know if that's relevant here, if it was signed in the September and the show runs all year round I suspect it'll be 5 years in the traditional calendar sense, i.e. 5 x 12 months and end next year as others have said, when did it kick in, as contracts are usually renewed a few months ahead of expiry.

Why would they do that, if they signed a 5 year contract in September 2009 that'd surely be 5 years from the time they signed it

Depends if internally they treat each calendar as a series and it's 5 of them it's signed for (Jan-Dec with Sep-Dec that year being the first of them) like sports contracts treat seasons and BB's seems to be, or 12 month period years like most year round non-sports service contracts like Supercasino's are, but I'm also pretty sure it ends next year not this.

Don't think so. Maybe for BB15.

In whatever way you look at it - it's time for Del Gibbons and co to leave our screen, they have had their day. Time to get back to watching people sleep and and make cereal in the kitchen at 3 in the morning.

It's worth noting this new C5 chief isn't afraid to bump things out of the schedule and one show bumped from a 10pm slot has been airing around 12.45am, bumping SuperCasino back to 1.45am - so it seems they're not as committed to get it on air by 1am as they once were.

Wait, this new CH5 Boss - I'm taking it Jeff Ford has stepped down then?

Even if SuperCasino stays on Channel 5, the teleshopping on 5* and 5USA would surely be easier to get rid of, and as well as that, there is a few hours each night and in the morning on 5*/5USA where nothing is broadcast and as far as I'm aware these channels don't timeshare so there should be no issue broadcasting the stuff then

Yeah, ditch Teleshopping on 5* and give us 9 hours (I think 5* programming returns around 9am or something) of live feed. If SuperCasino is being pushed back recently then a couple of hours after BOTS would be good before it started at 2am on Channel 5. It'd be like the old days with C4 and E4.

And then of course a 24/7 subscription feed online.
