Agree with you elliebrew.
Very excited. Much more now than when the initial channel 5 takeover.
Hopefully will be good old pre channel 4 **** up standards :)

This is it...if bb fails to hit the 2mil viewing figures, then it never will. The amount of effort and changes made to freshen the show and please the cult followers is a heck of alot. I really do hope bb delivers this summer.
I see its had little to no tabloid coverage sadly, unless I've missed anything.

I always get excited for the summer series, it's all the CBB that puts me of it personally. I'm probably most excited because of the return of the (limited) live feed, so in that sense I agree with OP

I'm impresses so far especially that they are giving a bit more LF, hopefully if the ratings for HL's & LF increase as the series goes on, hopefully we get more next year, I'm more excited about this series than I have been since it moved from C4.

not sure what there is to be impressed about, all they have really done is change the presenters. and having rylan involved is not exactly a good thing.
The show is only as good as the housemates anyway. after the nastyness of all of the housemates last time i just hope they haven't gone for boring ones now

Much better than other series on 5 but I can't get excited about it anymore, even if I wanted to.

As I said in one of the other threads recently, the anticipation in here is rife at the moment. I've been a lurker of the forum for many years - despite only signing up a week or so back - and I don't think I have ever seen the levels of anticipation in here before as I'm seeing this year.
Of course, everyone looks forward to the show returning, but this year, everyone is dying to see what is going to happen.
Channel 5 have played it well, they have been clever - A few got cheesed off, as did I with the whole revelation period, it seemed C5 were being slow off the mark - but it seems it's all part of a plan they have going on. As the OP states, I am also impressed thus far. I'm just rooting for the series to do well.

rly? because no one seems to even know about it apart from the forum.

Lots of comments on the article
Obviously actions speak louder than words, but everything certainly seems to be heading in a much better direction.

The Daily Star have put a damper on all the pre-series goodwill with their "insider" story.
I now await launch night with dread.

I seriously hope so. It just isn't Big Brother to me.

Yes. But, it could all get wiped for me if the launch still has that campy feel along with blasting Top 40 tracks.

Honestly I could do without the dancers ect but I don't mind the top 40 music as much... TBH I found it quite boring just hearing the crowd for 3-4 minutes as the HM's made the long walk in to the house... I also don't mind the stage set up or the crowds in the stands either... It give it's a much more professional look and the crowd looks much bigger... In the C4 era they never really got the set up right and you could really tell in the latter years that the crowds were shrinking... That being said I wouldn't mind if they changed it up just for something different but I don't mind the rest of it... It makes the live show feel like much more of an event...
ETA: The only other thing I wouldn't mind changed is that the HM's shouldn't talk to or have contact with the presenter prior to going in to the house... We've just watched their VT and we shouldn't need to know any additional information, just get them in and move on to the next HM...
