Britain & Ireland's Next Top Model had aired loads of ads on the sky channels promoting the start date as 13th of June, but earlier today they changed the premiere date to the 20th of June and they're gonna air a double bill of it on Sky Living instead.
They tweeted this on Monday:
BINTM @BINTM 27 May
@ronseal1 @DanniiMinogue Series 9 is back with a bang on June 13th! #BINTM
But earlier today they tweeted this:
BINTM @BINTM 6h
NEWSFLASH: We've decided to give #BINTM addicts a double dose! Tune in for episodes 1 & 2, back-to-back on the new start date of June 20.
Do you think they moved it to avoid a clash with BB? They probably thought they were in heaven when they saw the provisionals for Thursday 13th of June and how little competition there was, and then BB showed up in the confirmed lists and all of a sudden B&INTM is pushed back a week :joker:
Maybe other shows are finally starting to see Big Brother as competition again...

Well there was nothing else on for them to avoid a clash with so probably, as for competition, to other small reality shows BB has always been competition and this isn't a standard episode they were up against.

Basically, BB has virtually no competition then. I'd be surprised if it couldn't top 3m to be honest now.

That's what I was thinking. BINTM was the only competition on the night for BB, now the only competition are repeats of sitcoms on BBC1, and Reality TV doesn't usually share the same audience with sitcoms anyway.

Russell Howard's the only new thing on with the same target market.

BB will hopefully claim any crossover viewers with the first show and have them stick with it.

There's every opportunity to revive the show. Fingers crossed.

I still can't get over how utterly dreadful last series was on BINTM
Something is moving to avoid BB well it is on sky 1

I don't understand this... Aren't PVR recordings counted towards a shows ratings?
