Everyone is talking about having two houses, But it not possible. In 2008 the whole bottom half of the house (The Garden section) was knocked down and rebuild for bb9, They put up a roof over one area of the garden http://img456.imageshack.us/img456/525/trashedhouse3nb.jpg <--- Old Garden section

http://static.tellymix.co.uk/files/2011/08/Celebrity-Big-Brother-house-b.jpg <--- New Roof.

So if we where to have two houses they would have to knock down the garden again, but there would be no point unless the planning permission is renewed after 2013 (House being knocked down).

I'm sure if they were dead set on having two houses they could dismantle the roof

I don't understand your reasoning.

That doesn't prove there couldn't be 2 houses.

This makes no sense.

They would have to make another garden, that would mean knocking down the roof, but there would be no point as the house expires in September

I don't see how there wouldn't be a point?

Just because the contract on the house runs out in September that's no reason not to radically change it for one more series whilst they still have it.

i'm sure it wouldn't be to hard to take down a tin roof.

If producers really wanted to install a second house, I'm sure they would do it, and even if the contract expired after this series of Big Brother - why would they not do it? If they have the budget for it this year, I don't see why not... I'm struggling to grasp the reasoning behind that.

If it was to be the last series of Big Brother then does that mean they pull the plug and have a crappy series just because it is being axed? I wouldn't like to think so...

I understand the point of the garden though, because of the current structure, there's no room for a second garden for a second house - but it could easily be dismantled, especially if the house has been completely restructured as has been rumoured.

I think it's worth pointing out that it is a tv studio, not an actual house. They can do what the hell they want. C4 used to redesign the garden each year and this involved knocking down parts of the roof and remoulding it. Channel 5 can do the same just as easily. Depends what the producers are planning.

They could still have 2 Houses. It's not hard for them, besides was't there loads of different construction things going on to the back of the House a while back? :

Looking at that 1st picture though its nuts to see how big the BB3 garden was.

I can see what everyone is saying, So I got this aerial shot of the bb9 garden as it remains the same shape accept there is a roof over where the jail was atm!!
So Basically I added a Black line showing how the garden could be divided into two.

I still think there will be two houses.

Launch 'Part 1' and 'Part 2' implies that housemates are being moved in on both nights or else it wouldn't be a 'launch' and there would be no point adding half in on one night and half into the same house on the other night when they could just do it all in one night.

Although it seems big, the current garden is quite small compared to other series

A second House is always possible.

I'm pretty sure there will be 2 houses because only a twist of that significance would get the massive hype for it. I can't think of any other twist that could do the same!

I can't see two houses working out smoothly. Two different groups going in over two nights doesn't make sense either. You want to get people watching and if you're dividing up the HMs over two nights people might be bored with the first group and no bother tuning in the next night. Or they might just not have time the second night and end up not bothering at all. Seems like a bit of a step back for attracting new people.

Dividing them into two houses seems a bit off too. You want them all interacting right off the bat. If they do this I hope they have an abundance of HMs that they are going to axe a bunch of and them toss all the remaining together. (Although that'd be a **** idea cause people that get axed might be liked).

If people get bored with the people on the first night then they shouldn't be watching big brother in the first place! And the housemates will all interact but just amongst themselves and the HMs that get axed will only go by a public vote so they will be liked!

It won't be like the house next door

He doesn't want to give the biggest twist possibly ever by a pointless tweet! :nono:

The contract on the house may be ending in September but there is nothing saying that the contract will no be renewed or in the case that it is not that there will not be another house built in another location... And if the house is being torn down after the contract expires in September that is all the more reason C5 would do something drastically different with the current house...

Your reasoning is fundamentally flawed...

The contract for the house only ever runs for a couple of years - and it wouldn't be the first time they've built something only to knock it down the next year. Back in BB5 they built a new bedroom wing in the garden which was gone the following year.

Not quite the point though. You're trying to get more people to watch your show. If they are going to use a twist it's gotta be one that doesn't push away the random viewer that might end up becoming a fan. You'd wanna see all the housemates the first night wouldn't you? Splitting it up over two nights would be foolish to me. Introduce them all and do a twist over the two nights to decide who stays or goes maybe

It's not like building on the back of an actual house that we live in, it's essentially a TV studio which are dismantled, rebuilt, changed all the damn time.

With the "secrets and lies" it's probably going to be like the BBAU double launch

If the tabloids were interested in doing aerial shots the 2 hours rumour would be settled by now.
