Here's what I'm hoping for with Marcus:
-Toned down in highlight shows and Emma's enterance.
-No involvement in talking to the house on eviction night.
-If they insist on having the VT at the beginning of the show, have it less dramatic, including Marcus.
-Ideally, no VT at the beginning of any of the shows.

I think it's slightly toned down on the advertisements so far. Recently, it seems he's impersonating his own voice, it's just so over the top and the countdown soundbites he posted online, he talks so slow so he can put my emphasis on the words... just no.

He needs to tone it down big time. He's so over the top.

I think C5 should have replaced him and started afresh with their own Voice/Over person. He should just stick to voice overing the H/l show for me and leave everything else to Emma.

If someone tweeted me telling me I was **** at my job I probably wouldn't pay much attention, I really wouldn't care what some kid behind a keyboard thought.

Also, having done VoiceOver/ TV narration training, you get directed in how you read the script, same as you do for standard acting. He's clearly been told to do his work in such a way, just as anyone else is in their line of work.

I definitely think the producers told him to talk like that! They think by him speaking like that it will make the show more exciting and also, cut the long descriptions of what house mates are doing. Just say they are in the kitchen or something like that.

Since it all started again on C5 I was hoping Marcus would still be the voice over for the show as it wouldn't be the same, but since it started and his loud shouting down the mic, I just cringed. I really hope he tones it down this series.
