He didn't tell him how to do his job, but if he had, that would be perfectly fine. Marcus works in the entertainment industry on a massive show that has been on the air for 13 years, and in doing so he's agreed to open himself up for criticism and strong opinions from fans. If he's so weak-skinned he's probably in the wrong profession.

It's only been recently that I've taken a dislike to him and really started to notice just how much of a parody he's become of himself... I think it was Brekkie that said a good narrator is never noticed, yet Marcus now seem to think somehow that he IS the show...

But on the other hand to a lot of us Marcus stands for everything that is wrong with the show... It's been nothing but endless gimmicks, unsubstantiated hype, and endless recycled ideas and theme's to the point that it has essentially become a parody of itself...

Marcus's response just goes to show that a change is needed... He's become jaded and it's obvious that BB is just a paycheck for him... Even if he's being coached, he should at least be smart enough to realize that he should be standing up for himself... At this rate he's going he'll be lucky to find anyone willing to hire him when the show is done...

I have a feeling Marcus is going to be the new Dowling come next series... That is if we play our cards right and this series actually lives up to the hype they've created...

That's uncalled for. This is the first second time I've brought this up so no I'm not up his arse and no I'm not his stalker, it's just something I feel is starting to crop up too much. I'd really like some evidence of where I've agreed with something 'vile and racist', whether it's from Patrick or any other member. Hit me with it. Because I'm pretty sure I haven't. Jokes don't count either by the way. So go on, surprise me...and in the mean time don't throw accusations like that around.

Me and Patrick don't always agree actually, we don't always share the same favourites, don't always agree on the best series, don't always agree on our favourite houses, but we do quite often agree on production values. Just because we agree it doesn't mean I'm up his arse...grow up.

Look, all I'm saying is that I'm starting to find the way Patrick is hounded in every thread he makes a little bit uncomfortable. I'm not going to pretend he's always innocent, he brings it on himself sometimes but there are numerous occasions where he's made a perfectly valid and fair thread and people have come in with the tired old insults of 'you're so obsessive Patrick', 'get a life', 'always moaning...you were a happy child', 'are you ever happy?', some have even resorted to personal insults and have branded him a 'chav' and insulted his appearance. That's uncalled for. This is the first second time I've brought this up so no I'm not up his arse and no I'm not his stalker, it's just something I feel is starting to crop up too much. When he posted a thread last night saying how we'll end up with the same layout next year (which is perfectly valid, and not actually something I think either of us are too bothered about), some of the responses were childish and didn't contribute anything.

That's the end of the matter.

Which implies that I'd agree with something racist just because it came from Patrick. So it's the same issue regardless. He's retracted it now anyway but I'd appreciate it if you didn't imply I would for whatever reason ever agree with something racist, outside of the Big Brother section you've no idea what I'm like as a person.

Besides, I already cleared up what me and Patrick often agree on. I'm sure there's member you find yourself agreeing with a lot of the time, every member has them...but I don't then imply if they said something homophobic you'd agree with it because it's them.

My work has the right to be criticised by anyone, as does anyone else's. you can't tell me how to do my job, but you can tell me what you think I'm doing wrong or doing poorly, and I would take that feedback on board and use it to improve.

Anyone who puts their work into a public domain, especially those in entertainment, must have the right to be criticised, otherwise how would anyone ever improve?

I don't understand what you're getting at? You're just confirming what I just said lol.

He has very few Twitter followers considering hes been there since 2000 and people consider him as a major part of BB.

Fewer followers = fewer fans.

Marcus has 37,000 followers. Even some of the ex Channel 5 housemates have more and that's saying something.

Even Jamie East has 92,000 and all he did was appear on a spin off show that gets under 1 million viewers most nights.

AJ is yet to even appear on screen really and Alice only presented BOTS on the lowest rated days plus shes not really high profile on Radio 1 or established properly yet so its natural they have less.

Seeing as Marcus is featured heavily in every episode and his voice is famous all over the country you would think he would have a lot more followers.

Hes probably blocked most people who dare to even give an opinion to him.

Lets look at it as if I worked in a shop.

So I have complaints from various customers saying they don't like how i behave or my customer service is lacking.

Should i just tell the customer to get over it and say "i'll do what i want" or do i take on board the comments and think to myself *actually if all these people are thinking my customer service is bad then maybe i should take a different approach?

Also think of Channel 5 as the boss of that shop. Does that boss agree its right for me to behave as i want or that i should please the customer and make them want to return in the future.
