According to the article they will be ordering via an iPad... I for one will miss arguments over whether or not someone has added it correctly as these kinds of apps usually add it all up for you.

Ocado is the Home Delivery section of Waitrose, I'll have you know. I always think of BB as more of a Tesco house.

They are an online only supermarket. Never used them myself.

Well ordering from an iPad is just stupid, not to mention that it completely contradicts the entire theme for this year

Ordering their shopping on an iPad whilst growing a potato in the garden. :joker:

"Housemates being able to order their weekly shop with just a few taps on an iPad will highlight the benefits of Ocado’s superior service to more people than ever before."

I am going to miss the moments when cigarettes get cut off the shopping list because the housemates miscalculated and overspent.

This means we won't get any more "Banana-Gate" or "Chocolate-Gate" anymore :(

An "online grocery brand", as said in the article.

Maybe they will do it the normal way... But I can't see them giving them a blackboard and then putting it into their website or app.

Lets hope they don't pick up any unlocked wifi in the area...

Exactly! It just contradicts and goes against everything this series is meant to be.

Get them a rock and a metal tool, get them to carve their shopping list out :joker:

Possibly. But, I can't see why they would mention the use of an iPad in the quote?

They'll turn on guided access on the iPad which means they wont be able to do anything on the iPad but the shopping list. No secret facetiming home!!

Ah yes, if they are going to use an iPad, I have no doubt it'll be the shopping list and that's that.

But it makes the whole theme redundant when they're using an iPad in the house which is meant to be going back to basics and being about self-sufficiency.

The blackboard is an integral part of BB history! So sad :( I hope they use the blackboard in the house then the designated housemate will use the iPad in the diary room... OMG though imagine if someone got pissed off though and threw the iPad and it smashed everywhere, hahaha

I hope to God that they aren't using an iPad, that completely defeats the point of the vegetable patch, and the 'cut off from technology' rule.

I agree, unless this person just wants to plug the fact you can use an iPad app or something?

Not long until we find out either way.

Let's not forget the iPad is part of the sponsorship deal - a bit like how there probably wouldn't have been a trolley dash last year if Morrisons weren't paying for product placement. If it was left to Big Brother they'd probably stick with the blackboard and chalk.

Couldn't care less about this really, as long as that's the only thing they can do on the iPad. It's a six-figure deal, and at least unlike the headline sponsor it's a respectable brand.

The pad should only have access to the menu to order. Thing is people say it will stop tension Tec, well it could add tension because 1 person will most likely be using it. So that might piss people off.
