View Full Version : Thoughts on the twist?
Seems to be the sort of concept that could work well and have potential, but don't like the initial thing they've done with it, the shredding task was a bit obvious. Also, although it might give some brief entertainment I hope they're not intending the whole series to revolve around Michael being this actor, just the first week would be good
Not just talking about the suitcase thing btw, but the whole twist of Michael being an actor who can be controlled

None of them believed it, as I said in the other thread they should have opened them up with a few items that are identical to their actual suitcases

Doubt they will suss that his entire purpose is as an actor controlled by the public though, probably just think that this was one individual task for him if anything

It depends how it goes from here, it can either work well or be a complete disaster.
However, in the VT's he came across as natural etc... but you could clearly tell he was being so fake in the diary room, the acting was baaad. I know he isn't there to be himself, but he needs to relax and be himself, and be his fake character when he needs to be.
Either that or he is going to get sussed

I'm not sure Michael is a good enough actor to pull it off, he was very dodgy in the DR

The housemates, especially Sallie saw straight through this twist, and if Michael keeps having to do things they will see straight through that too. Also, he seems a bit too weak an actor for this. They portray him as a funny, silly bit ditzy guy then he has to be selfish like that? They would have been better off having him portray an arrogant wanker who gloated about the fact he did this.

Yeah he's a good actor and he did a good job with what he had to do, just the task was carried out quite lamely
Also, has he been briefed or is he going to be pretty much a normal housemate but never in contention/their puppet? Surely he'd get too engrossed and the act would slip? They must let him out at some points for his sanity...he might even become quite friendly with some of the housemates

I liked it but they need to stop giving him tasks that are so obviously lies.

I don't think they suspect Michael; the shredder was an obvious fake.
But, yeah, if everything keeps circulating around Michael then just like Makosi in BB6 everyone will suspect him straight away.
A good idea, but as per, it's not and probably won't be executed to its potential.

I love it but BB need to play it cooler, the shredding the suitcases was very unbelievable... I was initially gutted though because I liked 'postman Michael'!

Yeah was thinking that, can't imagine anything worse than pretending to be a completely different person literally 24/7, especially once you get to know the other people I expect you'd start to feel more and more uncomfortable about it

Knew people would think that, but she really didn't imo.
For a start 'your fake' is just the usual insult you throw around in BB every year. She said it cause she thought his sincerity and his apologies were fake, NOT because she had sussed hes an actor. Im pretty sure she thinks hes on a secret task hence her later apology to him. She probably thinks they have to play along to get a reward or their cases back.
Trust me we all know hes an actor. So to us its obvious, to them, especially so early on they wont have a scooby. And actually I think hes been pretty convincing so far, he did upset very well when the cases got shredded and somehow had them all consoling him cause he was so upset. Which was genius...
The real test for him will be on more personal 1 to 1 tasks where he has to stir up trouble, that could backfire very quickly on him. But so far its an amusing twist.

HMs are far too savvy to fall for that crap these days. I fear for the one whose shorts had disappeared up her bottom all night she will definately need a change of clothes. :D:

He was awful in the Diary Room, he mildly improved after that.

Initially I was a little skeptical about the whole thing, and the 'performance' in the Diary Room was cringe!
It would of been better to keep us out of the secret, for a few weeks. Imagine if we didn't know he was an actor and we witnessed that tonight. I like the twist or secret or whatever, but it could of been worked to be amazing.
That said, it ruffled a few feathers and Sallie was gearing up for a row so it provided a little bit of entertainment I suppose.

I like the idea of it, but it all depends a lot on how it goes.

I like it, it's nice to see them trying something like it which has been suggested for years and it's far, far better than other proposed ideas like secret story...
It just needs to last a long time and not be so always focused on him, i.e. he should control things from behind the scenes in some ways so that conflict is caused as a result of him but they've no idea. I do agree though that it would've been fun to perhaps have the public have no idea who the actor was though (just know that there was one).
