"Watching Big Brother makes me wish that the human race was an endangered species." (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/s149/big-brother/news/a490190/ricky-gervais-mocks-big-brother-2013-launch.html)
Shame, I like most of his work, just seems unfunny and written to shock and pander.
This just cements my theory Stephen Merchant is the funnier of the pair.

He makes a decent point TBH. The contestants are too savvy these days and are playing up for what they can get.

I'm a big fan of Ricky's but he was just capitalising on the twitter buzz for retweets and follows, he's got an app to promote. Don't know about now but up till at least BB6 he was a big fan of the show and mentioned it regularly on his podcasts.

I never understand why people go out of their way to watch something and then slag it off, when clearly he says he hasn't liked it since the early days.
I could list so many shows I don't like, but what is the point of that and why do I even care?
Unless one wants to hit the headlines just to remind some people he's still out there.

He was making a joke folks, he's been known to do it the odd time.
I love Ricky Gervais, and think any mention BB gets from a celeb is good for publicity.

only thing worse than bad publicity is no publicity so let him slag it off all he likes

He mentioned it regularly on XFM, mocked the contestants a lot but not so much the show.
what a wit
That sounds like you're complimenting his sense of humour more than anything.
(unless you actually meant he's a wit, for once)
