She seemed so down tonight after getting her dream job then doing brilliantly last night shes obviously woken up to find out the launch flopped and she just seems deflated.
#PrayForTomorrowsRatings
Yeah it made me really sad as she did such a good job last night. You could tell something was off with her, wasn't nice to see. She still did a pretty good job despite that though, and I really pray the ratings were better tonight!
..she might just be tired, they don't usually do two live shows in a row like that...

Yeah, I mean...that poor girl working for about 2 hours today doing what she loves. Most people get it easy, working 5/6 days a week, 8+ hours

I think Ammi meant Emma was probably up late last night. Doesn't she have to be up early for This Morning too?

She's killing the show, she needs to take responsibility for that and fix it.
Step it up Emma.

I don't get this "Emma's down", no she wasn't.
What do you want her to do, laugh and scream every two seconds?

She just said on BOTS that she didn't know who Rebel Wilson was. So no.

She is not killing the show what are you talking about she is just down a bit because she has been working for 2 days for long hours
Yeah, I mean...that poor girl working for about 2 hours today doing what she loves. Most people get it easy, working 5/6 days a week, 8+ hours
..there might have been a lot of after show stuff and she may have hardly slept last night, then been doing This Morning and rehearsing for the live show etc all day..that's much more than 8 hours work...she doesn't just step on the stage and that's all she does..

if any ONE person is responsible for 'killing' the show, it'd be Brian ****ing Dowling.

Why feel sorry for someone who is gorgeous, healthy, wealthy and well paid?

She seemed a little worn out at the start but was very comfortable towards the end.
I wouldn't say last nights show 'flopped' as such. Sure, it's the 'lowest ever rating' for a launch show on C5 but it's by no means decreased in viewers severely. If there was a 1.5 million difference in this year to last year I would then understand it being a 'flop'. But there's just a 600k difference. By no means a flop, but still not good. Given it has had no advertising 2.1m is good!

Well she's a definite improvement on Brian and she couldn't have done a better job as we've all said, but I really hope (for both Channel 5 and Emma's sake) the ratings are decent tonight.

I don't see what she has to be down about. She genuinely happy during the 2nd launch today.

Really?
Perhaps its just my perception then after knowing the launch figure may have tainted my judgement?

I guess there has to be a down side to pinching Brian's job - I'm sure the 'poor' girl's being adequately compensated, though.

I thought she seemed okay, I would guess she had a very late night last night and then there would be things needed to get set for the 2nd launch show tonight too.

Sorry man but your projecting. She was fine. I smile every time they cut back to her because she actually reacts to the show like a fan and interacts with the crowd. She even manages to deliver the writers bad jokes betters, and then admits when they're bad.
Loving her. If this is to be the last of regular Big Brother at least its with someone who loves the show.

I think people care more about the ratings on here than the folks who actually work on the show.

Uuummmm ................. no.
That's what she USED to do. I actually liked her on night one and thought she did a really good job - trust me, high praise from me, a real non-Emma fan!!!
Good luck to her in her dream job and I hope it goes well for her.

Good God, give her a few weeks to get into the swing. I remember Brian's first 3-4 exit interviews going down the tubes completely, and he was allowed to continue for multiple seasons. If the show goes well, and she finds a great comfort zone, and can ask *good* questions, the numbers will go up.
<---- not worried
no, she's doing amazingly, takes a true presenter to salvage what the last few series have been (not bashing brian, he did a good job crossing the show from c4 to c5). i just watched last night's episode and the bit where Emma nearly said Channel 4 and all the crowd went 'ooooh' she handled that brilliantly, was clearly nerves and she herself even laughed it off

What are you people talking about? What flop? Emma looked deflated? How?
It all looks good to me. You people are seeing things that aren't there and worrying over nothing.
Look, she wasn't on BBC1 you know. It was Channel 5 and it was the first TWO NIGHTS.
Jeez.

I noticed that too when she nearly said channel 4 instead of 5 and sensed her deflated after that and could imagine her really kicking herself for it.
Big Faux Pas saying the name of the previous host channel.
How not to engratiate yourself to the bosses in your new job.
Still dont get all the Brian bashing on here. Most seem so knowledgable about BB on here but sometimes..
