Who the fcuk is going to step up?

There seems to be no one.

Callum and Daley seem to be the only potential ones.

Too many "just part of the furniture" male housemates this series. :(

Sallie, Gina, Dexter and to a lesser extent Sam and Jemima have carried the show so far. Shame the first three are more than likely to be up :bored:

I'm surprised by how many girls I like this year, they're owning the guys.

Men dont get involved in petty stuff, or get involved in fights in 2 day. Only women do that. Men tend to be diplomatic, until they actually know a person.
Hence why, a girl is always evicted first.
It doesnt mean there are no strong men in there.

I think this is what will happen.

This was said last year and then Conor became the biggest HM in there. It seems to be said alot. Male HMs generally become good after a couple weeks while the females all try kill each other off and get evicted early on as a result.

You could see the potential though, Chris and Benedict had already stamped their authority on things.

Too bad Chris went early.

Dexter's too camp to be a big male character imo.

It seems a weak casting atm but as the girls numbers drop then we will see more of them I suppose.

Hasn't helped that the mother and daughter have taken 2 slots last night.

Should've been 3 male HM's going in last night.

Discounting that Michael isn't a real HM, we have 8 females and 6 males out of the 14 HM's. (seeing as the twins are one HM.)

The mother/daughter casting has been pointless.

Jackie will do ****e all.

Theres Dexter but theres also something not quite right about him. The theme is secrets and lies so I think theres some kind of big lie involving Dexter. Maybe he's the one who's not what he seems. He does seem very eager to big up how rich he is. Its almost vulgar to hear him go on about it.

meh big brother has always lacked big alpha male characters compared to other reality tv shows. BB has always been about girl drama really.

Not really.

Victor, Science, Maxwell, Rex etc.

Last series we had Conor, Aaron, Luke S, Benedict

I certainly don't see it only about girl drama.

90% of the time the show is about the girls bickering. I want to see just a brain dead, beefy guy in there who goes around threatening people, thats an alpha male to me, not those fairies you listed.

When i say a big male character i don't mean someone who's like you just described.

It's someone who plays a notable role, gets into arguments, stirs **** up, plots. etc.

And last year's series was very male dominated, certainly no 90%.

I'm not gonna complain about this years Casting, so far seems pretty good from what i'm seeing...least they've gone a bit older this time. I'm not yet convinced by the 'mum and daughter' thing. Maybe a 'father and son' would've been worth a try. Or at least one older dude, say in his late 40s... 'used car salesman' with the gift of the gab type..

I saw a bit of him on the Live Feed, and thought he might be ok...actually. Might stir some stuff up a bit once things begin to settle...we'll see the jury's still out!

Not all of them have spent the night in there yet (as far as the highlight shows) and most of them are still finding their feet, I'm sure in a few days some of the others will shine through.

It's only a few days geez give them time to settle down guys. The women will always stick out early cause they are bitchy and OTT characters. The guys will come to the fore once you get rid of the Sallie's and Gina who are starting to grate already.

The blokes don't enter the series until the second or third week usually. Why put yourself outthere so early when it is unnecessary. The first one out is always a woman so just chill lads. :)

Agreed, it's always the women who tend to be heard in the first week.

The men are always boring, they're actually much better this year that in years past. The only ones that are totally useless so far are Callum and Daley. Dexter, Dan, the twins, and Sam seem to have potential.

They are definitely not better than last years.

Also, Aaron too.

People can say what they want about him, but he stirred things up constantly.

With practical jokes and the like.
