..apologies if there is another thread already, I couldn't see one...

...I know Sam is encouraging and has even started their 'flirtatiousness' but even so, if Jemima were a 41yr old guy, would we feel comfortable...is this acceptable..?....

..also Sam, I think he gains a certain amount of leeway from some of the public because of his hearing condition but why should he..does that make him any less sleazy than anyone else..?...

This completely undermines your thread title and is more the truth. I know people love having some moral outrage with this program, but even here it's obvious there is just a Big Brother friendship and nothing more. This is hardly anything serious, sorry but I think you'll need to get outraged over something else. I don't like Sam much either, but no doubt enough of the young female audience will think him cute and make him last a while.

I wouldn't have any trouble accepting a 41 year old man's interest in a 23 year old.

The real issue is that she's made it extremely clear that she's looking for a wealthy man. The thing with Sam is the most awkward and forced showmance since Rebeckah and Aden's cringe-fest.

I don't know about the general public, but the posters here seem pretty much done with Sam and don't give him any leeway at all because he's deaf.

..no it doesn't undermine it at all, no matter how Sam is, Jemima is a mother and the more adult person and doesn't have to respond or be flirtatious back, some people would find that less acceptable from a male, but there shouldn't be any difference....

..I think that you over estimate my 'outrage' which actually doesn't exist..it's just a topic discussion of which everyone is free to comment...or not...

I don't like to see a woman old enough to be his mother drunk trying to get off with a boy, she went in for the snog but he side swiped her other wise we would of had a cringe fest.
sam's actions will be put down to him being a lad and his hearing and speach problems will let him get away with the cringy sex chats.

age doesn't matter and shouldn't matter. but if she was a 41 yr old guy yeah i would find it odd as he isn't gay as far as i'm aware lol

I kinda like Jemima. I think she is gonna be a very interesting character, and she seems to have a genuine warm caring side.

She's not stupid either.

of course she is stupid, chasing young guys drinking too much and making her self look cheap and desperate on the first night.

Jem doesn't appear to have much shame, but I don't think anybody has been hurt. Sam appears to be perfectly happy with the situation. I really don't think you can compare the two situations one of a older man and a younger girl and visa versa, they aren't the same imo.
