The daughters custody arrangements aren't that relevant IMO to whether she wants to provide for her. She may not have full custody but that doesn't stop her wanting to make a better life for her. Maybe she wants more access, maybe she hasn't been financially secure in the past to provide that. I honestly don't know but I wouldn't like to judge too much on that until I did know more.

Sallie has a 3 year old daughter who lives with her for a few days every week. Her daughter's father looks after her the rest of the time. As she spends a lot of time away, she says the time they have together is very precious
