I haven't watched much since episode 1 just wondering why hes so unpopular?
my first impression is hes young, immature and perhaps getting sucked in by gold digging milf jemima, but doesn't seem like such a bad bloke, does he?
I presume hes now turned his attention to the gorgeous irish model?
Vicky.

I dont mind him, but hes quite annoying with the 'cute' things he says (such as calling his dick a winkie). I cant understand him a lot of the time though, so I may be missing a lot. Usually takes me about a week or so to get used to Welsh accents

Here we go again with your anti women posts.
It wasn't Jemima who made him into a letch who talks about his cock getting hard to the girls he said this before he entered the house.
Hes a letch.
YUCK!
PS he is not "SHY" at all. He is a proper valleys lad....All drink and clunge.

:joker: When I first met my Welsh stepfather and his family I felt so stupid and rude for having to say "pardon" and not understand a blind word they were saying. I thought I'd got used to it over the years but Sam's is really incomprehensible to me at times. lol

I thought during the first live feed that he says these really awkward and forward things just to break that awful tension when you're trying to make conversation with a stranger for the first time. Seemed to work with Jemima, who laughed but could fail with some people.

Yep I think that too.
And I think a lot of the hate aimed towards him was because he seemed like the favourite from the launch night, so naturally everyone who wants a different housemate to win would immediately dislike him.

Britain are in a soppy mood, they voted Jack second cos of his disability (although he was good, he wouldn't have made It second without), they will vote for Andrea to win the voice due to her being blind, they voted Luke A to win BB probably because was transgender (being a strong supporter of LGBT rights this isn't many as a nasty commen) They voted James Arthur to win XF due to the poo sound he makes when he tries to sing, ever since the Olympics Britain now is soppy with voting
I think Sam is next :(

I coached football with Sam in America a couple of years ago and got to know him quite well. He is genuinley a really nice person but does say awkward things but I think that is to help him stand out because due to his hearing he cant really join in conversations as much as he would want. Hes definitely not a creep as people are saying based on a few crude one liners

I think Sam's a really good bloke but i think he's very self-conscious about his speech. He said as much in his video on launch night and most housemates either figured it out for themselves or asked after noticing his hearing aids.
On the other hand Dan said to him "i'm sorry but i'm having difficulty understanding a ******ing word your saying Sam". You could see poor Sam's confidence shrivelling up when he said it. I think that was on the first highlights show.
Dan is so wrapped up in himself that doesn't notice anything that's going on with anyone else (apart from Hazel of course!). He's such an unaware, self-obsessed twat is Dan (oink, oink little pig!).:yuk:
Hopefully, when Jemima the witch is evicted on Friday Sam will be able to relax a bit more when there's alcohol around and he'll come out of his shell a bit more. I think there's a lot more to him that we haven't seen and he seems like a considerate and genuinely nice guy.
If you haven't already you should all give the guy a chance. I don't think he's going anywhere anytime soon as i can't see him getting nominated by many people.
Someone's gotta' represent Wales in the house and he's the only eligible candidate. Go Sam!!!!

I am also hard of hearing, and I totally get that it's hard to get involved in group discussions. Everyone is talking over each other, it's hard to be able to lip read everybody, and it takes time to process what people say. Also, he probably does not want to have to say pardon 5 times (It's so awkward. So awkward.)
Also, he probably says weird things just so that people laugh, and to show he has a sense of humour. People tend to assume you are a special snowflake if you are hard of hearing, so he is probably trying to prove that he is normal.
I am supporting him, just because I want to be an actress and I'm hard of hearing and he is raising awareness of the cause.:P We need deaf role models in the media, and he could provide that if he gains confidence with people.
(I also wonder how many packets of hearing aid batteries he brought because when you are wearing your aids all day, the battery drains so fast. If he has to go to the diary room like, "Can I have some more batteries?" I would feel so sorry for him :p Also hearing aid batteries go at the worst times, so if I was him, I would change his batteries before eviction night because no one wants to be the one who has to sit there going "Wut" when they announce who is going home.)

Thank you a sensitive realistic comment. I am appalled by comments criticizing his speech are ignorant and cruel. He has to lip read a lot and has had speech therapy to develop his ability to speak at all.None of this has anything to do with the way he behaves himself crudely or otherwise.
