Vote to save (coupled with low ratings and a psychotic fan base with no shame in creating multiple FB accounts) made Aaron win BB12 so it really is flawed.

@ troynuncdicit
Would you have to pay credits or whatever to vote on FB?
Granted Aron should not had won, but the bores will remain till the end this year because of the "Vote to Evict". The likes of Wolfie, The Twins, DAN...DAN? WTF!
SERIOUSLY, Ima switch off or throw something at the TV if that lot remain.
Vote to save is better for getting rid of deadweight when more than 2 hm's are up which is why it should have stayed.

If vote to save didn't exist in the last CBB Speidi would have been evicted the first time they went up. How entertaining would it be with all the other housemates in the house withouth them? All the others literally added nothing to the show.
And yet there are people who can't understand the difference. And yet C5, who pushed to save them, are bringing VTE back. I just can't understand it.

Speidi didn't add anything either because they just sat in the corner by themselves and grumbled about everyone else and never actually started any drama so that's a moot point. Especially since CBB11 was the worst series ever because it was all about Speidi.

They brought in viewers. Without viewers the show will be axed.

They brought in viewers. Without viewers the show will be axed.Only two series of celebrity big brother have ever being lower in the ratings in 11 series of CBB.
spiteful wanker housemates do not attract viewers despite what some claim.

BB's at the lowest point right now and only the dedicated viewers are left watching, they really didn't bring in anyone.

The "save your fave" thing always sounded a bit odd, when in reality you might be voting for someone you hate the least of those nommed! :D
Vote to evict feels right and is within the traditions of BB. It's not perfect but, on balance, it's the better system, IMO.

IMO there are 3 types of voters.
1. The ones that like conflict and love to see the wankers stay in so the program runs hot with conflict for as long as possible and they prefer the vote to save.
2. The ones that like to see the wankers thrown out as early as possible so they cant build a future cash cow for themselves and they like the vote to evict.
3. People like myself that like to see a bit of conflict as long as it does not go over the line and people that like to laugh at the antics of these lab rats that make us all feel better about our own boring lives.....We like the vote to evict as its cheaper and more effective.

The tossers that ruin or run the programme, change their minds as often as I change my channels on the remote. They seem to think messing with the programs ethos is their given right and they keep on searching for the perfect solution and after all these yrs, they are no nearer finding anything better that what ch4 had in the beginning and they cant or wont accept it.
There are too many chiefs and not enough Indians and these decisions are always a test probe but never work.

Great, ok.
I've been advocating for about the last 10 years, that they should do away with nominations. Have the public do a weekly vote on their Fav housemate, then the 3x with the least votes are nominated. Then a 'vote to save'. That's the best way i can think to prevent a 'Jack and Joe' crisp eating finale! ;-)

However mildly entertaining it might be, should people be rewarded for bad behaviour by being saved?
That's the underlying philosophical question, I guess.............

It depends what you class as 'bad behaviour' Conor last year going in a VTE would have been brilliant, somebody having a couple of arguments and trying to keep the series alive, no they deserve to stay, vote to evict is ridiculous and will kill any potential this series has.

I'm actually laughing at people that are defending the vote to evict option - you lot actually contribute nothing, or know nothing about creating a good series.
In reply to the OP - whilst I admire your spunk and fight, campaigns like this are so 2010, they never work anymore. It's not as big a show, and in Channel 5's eyes they really couldn't give two ******s about what we want, as long as Natalie Cassidy is still shining on the health lottery every week, then they're content.

Why is it MUCH better? I haven't seen a single good argument for Eviction over vote to Save.
Vote to Save preserves the most compelling housemates. Evict gets rid of them.

Alas, it isn't meant to be.
The odds are getting closer between her and Dexter.
Gina 1/2
Dexter 9/4
Sallie 5/1
If we all voted multiple times to evict Dexter (i.e. more than once) then I think we could actually get him evicted this week and Gina and Sallie would be saved.

If you could point out where I said I want vote to evict, please let me know because all I said was that VTS ultimately didn't make the difference it was expected to make.
And IDK why you're so hung up on my BB10 opinions. Is it that hard to believe not everyone liked Freddie/Marcus/Siavash? BB10 was **** anyways so who cares

The amount of pissing and moaning by the usual suspects about how dumb the public are (which they dont seem to realise they are part of) didnt decrease at all with vote to save so it cant have been any better.
Some people just like being whiny i suppose.

Vote to Evict worked perfectly well for many years and it's how it should be.
Vote to Save was a failed experiment in manipulation of the result and raising more revenue.
