Wasn't the original idea to put together a bunch oh NORMAL people and see how they interact/react with one another, I don't believe the intention was to deliberately select people who could be manipulated to fight and argue on demand.

So true the entire concept is nothing but a distant memory and not in a good way.
The show has been pushed down a blind alley by people wanting more hostility, more arguments, more action and more fights.
If anything the show are guilty of listening to the fans too much as the immature crazy minority always make the most noise.

I have no idea where they go from here you know its gone wrong when they have to hire actors in the house to create a dramatic storyline.

Sadly people/the show aren't really interested in that anymore. It's just a way of churning out stories for the star now

I agree with OP. If the people aren't relatable it's not interesting to watch.

..I think we've got to think about it as almost an entirely different show since Channel 5 took over and stop comparing it to the earlier Big Brothers. otherwise it's almost like your parents looking back at the 'olden days' and saying I remember when, things were so much better then etc...although it has kept some of the 'Big Brother Traditions', for me it's basically a different show..things move on, things evolve etc....for better or worse...
