What's the story with all the hair extensions?

Don't people just have their own hair anymore? Wouldn't it be better to go in the house with your real hair, those extensions start to look disgusting after a short while in that house. Admittedly, I've never worn extensions myself but I don't get the love for them by all these female HMs

Its the Towie look. God knows why its popular but a lot of females seem to think it makes them more attractive, it doesn't, it makes them look more skanky IMO.

As a black woman myself I never understand this. I find it creepy and a bit white worshippy that Gina has blond extensions and blue eye contacts. Simply not feasible on black women.

I kinda like the look of extensions, especially if you don't have mega hair already like Charlie but in the big brother house, I can see the maintenance problem being a big issue. Sophie Reade lost quite a lot of them iirc.

I hate them too, specially the cheap looking ones like Gina's. Although I think hers is a big fat cheap weave. After a week the weaves and extensions look like a horse chewed it up and spat it out.

From BB10 onwards the female housemates have been very fake looking. BB6-9 had very pretencious women in there but they looked alot more classier (apart from Lea) than the skanky extension women of todays BB

I think even women who call themselves classy tend to have something tackky about them (hello Gina). Women will try and come across as classy whilst concealing a boob job. Plus so many young women have tattoos. Imho tattoos and boob jobs (unless for cancer reasons) are just plain tarty. It's a small sign of society moral decline that women demand respect for having these.

Sorry but I think they are vile. It's bad enough when guys have tattoos (wish Zayn from 1D didn't ruin himself with this) but women just put me in mind of hookers, drug users winos and tramps. Don't care how many times Vogue claims tattoos are now acceptable. They are disgusting. My gran was absolutely snobby towards women who had tatts and I have inherited this and it's the one prejudice I don't think is bad.

I hate the fake look, I suppose it's ok in moderation but if you have fake tan, fake hair, fake nails, tattoos. Especially if it's mixed with bad surgery. Just looks dirty.

They make me think of Denise on the Royal Family when she puts the hair extensions on Nana.

I still think you're looking at the wrong women. I certainly don't know anyone in the real world who has obvious tattoos and amusing novelty breasts.
