Well Dexter is going to look very bad and foolish when all is revealed as to Michael's role. In all fact, Dexter has been made to look silly by Michael,not that it's Michael's fault as he is just doing a job of work but Dexters credibilty is likely going to be shot to pieces once Michael goes and the facts are known to all.

He did what he could with the information he had. He played it smart and frankly it probably would have worked if Michael was a real housemate. He hates Sallie.

It's a game of survival and Dexter proved he is willing to do what he can to survive. While you say he will be isolated, he will be in the game to fight another day, one of Sallie or Gina won't. All that matters.
