Shaun
26-06-2013, 04:08 PM
did tim henman just say that there's nothing wrong with the courts
um you only ever lasted like 20 minutes on any of them so **** tim
Drew.
26-06-2013, 04:11 PM
these injuries are getting ridiculous now
thing is it's pretty normal to slip once on grass but.. two or three times per player. on the same spots.. no
Munchkins
26-06-2013, 04:16 PM
If Maria goes out.. that bottom half is going to be so open... only Kvitova will be the real threat on that half, and i wouldnt count on her
could result in a very odd finalist!

Four time wimbledon semi finalist :suspect:
Kvitova isn't even playing that well, it's so open. Really rare for Wimbledon

GET IN, i am seeing the GOAT women's tennis player tomorrow
1 Williams (US) v Garcia (FRA)
9 Gasquet (FRA) v Soeda (JPN)
4 Ferrer (SPA) v Bautista Agut (SPA)
Get on No.2 mate, much better matches on there tomorrow!
You may also notice how Serena isn't as huge as she seems on tv, she's pretty skinny
Drew.
26-06-2013, 06:11 PM
Serena, Gasquet and Ferrer is good enough for me.. would have prefered Del Boy over Gasquet though
Hopefully you get to see an upset.
No.2 is where everybody has been slipping  Laura might slip tomorrow
Drew.
26-06-2013, 06:21 PM
hopefully the upset wont be Serena  picked her for my predictions

Jelena out as well, that side of the draw is just full of Jobbers now, Sloane should make the final easily

26-06-2013, 10:52 PM
Total WTF day. Both draws are in disarray :conf: Surely the grass conditions have something to do with the **** winter and spring we had? I can't imagine the most prestigious tournament in the world to just throw a random poor year of maintenance.
Glad I dont have to listen to Sharapova.
But you have to listen to Michelle Larcher de Brito instead :bawling:

I echo what the heck happened yesterday. Crazy day indeed
Locke.
27-06-2013, 04:38 AM
What a great day yesterday was, opens the draw up perfectly and eliminated the two most horrible players in the women's game, Sharapova and Vika. A shame Federer went out but if you'd have asked me to sacrifice him for those two at the start of the day I'd have had to accept.
6 hours until Sabine restores some order.
Locke.
27-06-2013, 04:41 AM
Oh for **** sake I shouldn't have said that, Sabine is on the Slippery Court of Death
British grass defeats foreigners
ANOTHER batch of foreigners was sent packing yesterday in a major victory for Britain’s grass.http://www.thedailymash.co.uk/images/stories/shar250.jpg
The Wimbledon lawns scored memorable wins over Maria Sharapova and Caroline Wozniacki, while seven other foreigners surrendered rather than face a battering at the hands of the All England Club’s big green rectangles.
Court Number Two, Britain’s number three tennis court, said: “I’ve been working especially hard on my slippery parts.
“I knew that Sharapova would try and stop me from playing my normal game so it was really about making sure I stayed as flat as possible.”
Centre Court, the current British number five, said: “I love playing against Caroline Wozniacki, she is fantastic opponent, but when I got up this morning I felt very slippery indeed.”
But the court refused to take credit for the demise of Roger Federer, insisting: “That wasn’t me. He was just rubbish.”
Centre Court added: “I want to conserve my energy for the weekend so I can send Novak Djokovic skidding headfirst into the umpire’s chair.”
Meanwhile, Court Number One, the British number eight, said: “It’s a shame that Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has run away like a little girl.
“I’ve actually been fitted with a trap door and a crocodile pit and I was hoping to try it out on a Frenchman.”

Li Na takes the first set 6-2
Cibulkova takes the first set 6-0
Stosur takes the first set 6-2 (she's only ever been in round 3 once before at Wimbledon)
Lisicki a break up 4-2 against Eastbourne champ, Vesnina
Lisicki 6-3... Vesnina is being unnecessarily loud

Locke.
27-06-2013, 11:49 AM
Yes!!!!!!! Really excited to see how she does now, aside from the wins against Sharapova and Li in the past 2 Wimbledon's this is the best I've seen her play. Bring on Stosur.
Sam's doing really well this year but she doesn't stand a chance against that performance.
Black Dagger
27-06-2013, 11:53 AM
Another slip, bless her, this is a much better set, that 2nd one was beyond painful.
Lisicki played okay but it was more to do with Vesnina playing terrible, she was at 20% of her best, Eastbourne she was about 90%
Locke.
27-06-2013, 11:56 AM
Vesnina was pretty good in the first set, pushed almost all of Sabine's service games to deuce, was only in the second she was useless
she served terrible all match, she was like a different player to last week
Locke.
27-06-2013, 11:58 AM
That's because she is playing against the soon to be Wimbledon champion though
And that's probably down to the pressure Sabine was putting on her returns
Locke.
27-06-2013, 11:58 AM
Just realized Sabine has officially made it further than Vika as well, what a great day
Lisicki can only make it further then Vika when she withdraws voluntary, that says it all really
Going to support Vika's best friend Serena if she knocks Lisicki out

27-06-2013, 12:13 PM
She still plays, she had to pull out this year with a back injury.. I think.
Fingers crossed Garcia can pull off a miracle here.... or at least give Serena an injury or something
bet she'll be watching Serena today
Stosur has faced Lisicki twice on grass and she is 2/2 so it looks like we won't have to wait for Serena to knock her out after all

Serena-Lisicki will be a match and a half. My pick for the one person who can stop the Serena streak!
Good to see some Vika fans know what they are talking about

Making terrible clothing. Probably watching Serena hoping she fails and doesn't get another Wimbledon title, surpassing her total.
