Yes, we're only nearly 10 Days in - but, I think all things aside (the silly twist and how the producers have royally ****ed up as usual) this series is looking quite good.
You see, I loved BB13 - and I have a little soft spot for BB12, despite the hate it gets - but this series seems alot more like a 'classic' series of Big Brother.
I'm not saying it's up there with BB9 and BB6 etc, I mean at the moment I'd rank BB13 higher than this year, but it's early days.
What I'm saying is, with the live feed and the fact Marcus has surprisingly toned it down abit, the lack of OTT editing, the house looking more like a Channel 4 house and watching the housemates properly interact is just - it's raw, and that's something I loved about Channel 4 Big Brother.
And, It's so amazing being able to look forward to an eviction night again for the first time since BB11 - without having to brace yourself for Brian Dowling dancing to Pixie Lott.
One more thing - regarding live feed, and this is actually what sparked this thread; when I use to watch BB9 on live streaming constantly, I was able to keep up with the little inside jokes the housemates had and things that didn't make it on the highlight show, so I felt alot closer to the housemates and the events in the house.
Just now whilst watching the live feed, Jackie or Jemima mentioned something - and it was a reference to a little joke the group made the other day in the treehouse on live streaming, and it made me smile - it's nice to be able to keep up with the housemates properly again even if it is just for two hours a day.
So, despite some poor decisions behind the scenes - I take my hat off to Ben Frow for his work so far on this summer's series and I hope it continues to excel.
