View Full Version : The problem with the nomination episodes is...

I just realised that sometimes when they are rushing the nominations episode, after an ad break has just happened (or an episode transition) Marcus will just narrate whilst a certain housemate is doing something and will say "Callum has nominated Gina and Dexter, Jackie has nominated Jemima and Wolfy" and they won't actually show the nomination take place in the diary room.

So for all we know, Channel 5 could just be lying to us about who each housemate nominated and manipulate the result so their chosen housemates stay.

Marcus.

They wouldn't do that.

No, they wouldn't.

Yeah I know they do, but say if they wanted Dexter out, and they knew he would be evicted over Sophie & Sam, they could say that Jackie and Callum both nominated Sophie and Sam and not show their actual nominations in the diary room, and we wouldn't be able to see if they were true or not because Sophie and Sam wouldn't be evicted. Also, the housemates aren't allowed to discuss nominations, so C5 could easily do this if they wanted to.

I'm just being paranoid, but it was just a thought I had the other day. It's definitely not true though if you ask me, but just wanted to point out how manipulative they could be if they wanted to.

They now have us near paranoid out here and we aren't housemates, thinking of twists and manipulation taking place.

Good points and I do agree we should see the full nominations and reasons too.
It is a major part of BB and we should see it all,as it happens as well I would go as far as to say as to it too.

They show us all the nominations and they have always done. For my liking the nominations episodes drag.

No they don't, sometimes Marcus just says "x has nominated y and z"

I always remember seeing them all... Unless I'm getting mixed up with reading the press releases, I don't know but I always remember seeing Housemates nominate and give all reasons..

HB123 is correct I think, I'm 99% sure that Marcus sometimes just lists who nominated who.

That would be like ... illegal? Idk

I'm sure they wouldn't do that, they did the same in BB10 as well

It's not always on the main show, but BotS has a montage of each person saying the 2 names. They also put clips online. It may not be shows during the hour of the main show, but one way or another, it's always out there.

I thought they only showed a montage of who nominated the 2 (or more) housemates who are up for eviction.

If not I must pay closer attention to BOTS because I like seeing who nominated who, preferably with their reasons too though.

Edit: I suppose who nominated the housemates who are up for eviction is all we really need to see given the context of this thread (so there's no trickery involved) but I wish they showed all the reasons for everybodys nominations.

They might not show all the nominations take place but there is no chance they would alter the result.

I only made this thread as a little thought that could happen (but it will never happen and is pretty much just a discussion point), so don't take it too seriously guys

This hasn't happened in years. It used to on C4, but it hasn't for a while now.

They stopped it ever since they edited the nominations shows differently from CBB7 onwards, where they condensed the noms, and showed the nom counter on screen.

So, I HIGHLY doubt it will happen.

That didn't happen in BB13.
