We never had dual voting - we always had three people up for eviction at a minimum.
Two people up is just stupid.

Vote to Save and Vote to Evict?
Would be awesome.
On the most recent BBAUS, everyone went into the nominations with 5 points to allocate. They not only pick two to nom, they also assign a point value to them (ie I nominate John for 2 points and Sue for 3 points). They also have to give valid reasons, and if they aren't good enough, BB yells at them and makes them think of a new one or change their nomination.
Once all the nominations are done, the people with the highest total of points go up for a vote. It equalizes the voting blocks a bit. A group can all agree to nominate the same people, but if they really want both up, they'll have to split their votes in 3's and 2's. It leaves the door open for people not in their group to give one of them 4's and still put them up instead.

They had dual voting:
Basically you can vote to save or evict the housemates up for eviction, it makes it a little less predictable, for example:
Say Bob, Alex and Mandy were up for eviction and mandy was hated but also loved, and Alex was a dullard.
Votes to Evict: (here Mandy would go)
Alex: 30
Bob: 25
Mandy: 100
Votes to save: (here bob would go)
Alex: 50
Bob: 49
Mandy 130
Now you subtract the votes to evict frm the votes to save
Alex: +20
Bob: +24
Mandy: +30
So here Alex would then be evicted (the dullard over the other two who would have gone if it had just been one or the other).

I'm ever so slightly confused . so were there two seperate numbers ? One to save bob and one to evict bob, or did you dial the housemates number `press 1 if you would like to save bob, press 2 if you would like to evict bob`
Surely this would be gold in phone revenue for channel 5 !

I believe two separate numbers (one for saving/one for evicting)

Yeah..the only problem was, the HM selection was SO ABYSMAL...i didn't give a toss which one of them was 'saved or evicted'..
